Grant Tracking Spreadsheet
Although there are many excellent grant tracking software packages on the market, a simple Grant Tracking Spreadsheet, created in Excel or Access, can be a cost effective way for a small foundation to track basic grant information. It can be easily modified to fit a foundation’s needs and priorities.
Depending on the information your foundation requires and wants to track, the spreadsheets can be used to record:
· Applications received, purpose of the grant and amount requested
· Prior contribution history
· The review process including Board and or staff comments on proposals
· Grants approved, pending and declined
· Letters and checks sent
· Grant agreement forms received
· Grantee report and evaluation data
· Contact information
