1.  Does the Tuition Exchange (TE) application need to be completed each year?
Yes, you can obtain a copy of the TE application from the Human Resources office. Keep in mind, you need to maintain the eligibility standards outlined in the Policy and the student needs to meet the academic and conduct standards of the exchange institution.

2.  What is the dollar value of Tuition Exchange scholarship?
Please refer to the TE website http://www.tuitionexchange.org for the most current information. They have determined the maximum amount is $36,000 for 2018-2019.

CIC-TEP Q & A

1.  Does the Council of Independent Colleges Tuition Exchange Program (CIC-TEP) application need to be completed each year?

Yes, you can obtain a copy of the CIC-TEP application from the Human Resources office. Keep in mind, you need to maintain the eligibility standards outlined in the Policy and the student needs to meet the academic and conduct standards of the exchange institution.

2.  How many import applicants are approved by the participating CIC-TEP institution?
The host institution is required to “import” a minimum of three new, admissions-qualified CIC-TEP applicants each year. Institutions are not required to consider applications received after April 1.

General Q & A

1.  What if my child no longer wants to participate in one of the Exchanges?
Please let Human Resources know as soon as possible.

2.  Can individuals pursuing a Masters Degree qualify for the Tuition Exchange or CIC?
St. Norbert College limits participation to qualified individuals working on an undergraduate degree only.

3.  How are scholarships applied?
It depends on how the scholarship award is written. Please contact Financial Aid for more information.

4.  What happens if I no longer meet the general eligibility requirements?

The tuition exchange award terminates at the end of the term when eligibility requirements are no longer met. Please let Human Resources know as soon as possible.

5.  When will I be notified if my dependent has been accepted? Institutions will generally not accept an exchange application unless the student has been admitted. Timeframe for responses varies from institution to institution.
