7. Planning of September Meeting / Ad-Hoc Meeting:
7.1. Marc E. offered to host an ad-hoc in Germany
7.1.1. Meeting facilities would be free of charge
7.2. Membership notes that it is extremely hard to justify an international travel for an ad-hoc
7.3. As an alternative, one could have an ad-hoc right in front of the November meeting at Atlanta
7.4. Another alternative would be to have an ad-hoc in between the September and November meeting
7.5. Chair will have a straw poll on the alternatives at the next telecon, final approval of ad-hoc during the September meeting.
8. Presentations of proposed comment resolutions:
8.1. Marc E.: 11-07/2341r1 LB 101 comment resolution for CIDs 107, 108, 109, 1660, 1661, and 1148 – near field definition
8.1.1. Marc E. presents the current (802.11.2/D1.0) definition of “near field” and the proposed new definition. The proposed new definition is countering all relevant CIDs by addressing the raised concerns.
8.1.2. Marc E. asks if there is any disagreement with the proposed resolution. No issues were brought up.
8.1.3. Proposed resolution for the addressed CIDs accepted by unanimous consent.
8.1.4. Marce E. takes the action item to contact Michael F. to check if he agrees with the proposed resolution.
8.2. Marc E.: 11-07/2342r0 LB 101 comment resolution CID 323 – Missing Definition of throughput
8.2.1. Marc E. presents the proposed new definition of “throughput” to be added to the Draft.
8.2.2. A comment was made that IxChariot is commonly used to measure throughput and that the “Chariot throughput definition” should be considered.
8.2.3. Concerns were risen that the definition of throughput should not be primarily aligned with a product just because this product is commonly used.
8.2.4. Larry Green from Ixia took an Action Item with Marc Emmelmann to develop a definition for the term based on 1) what is currently in the TGT draft, 2) a more formal definition offered by Emmelmann, and 3) the so-called Chariot definition.
8.2.5. The ongoing work on this action item, i.e. alternative or new definitions, should be incorporated into 11-07/2342, adjusting the authors accordingly, in order to have a single document dealing with the CIDs regarding “throughput definition”.
8.2.6. No approval action for the presented comment resolutions was taken.
8.3. Marc E. presents 11-07/2344r0 802.11.2/D1.0 LB 101 Proposed Comment Resolution for Annex D Theoretical Throughput Limits and 11-07/2345r0 LB 101 Comment Resolution Text Changes 802.11.2/D1.0 Annex D Theoretical Throughput Limits

8.3.1.3. Agreement that the intention of Annex D was not to provide a pass/fail criteria and that, instead of removing the Annex, one should refine the introduction of Annex D to reflect this.
8.3.1.4. Dalton Victor from Broadcom took an Action Item to refine the explanatory text in Annex D, D.1 Introduction. Dalton will coordinate his contribution with Thomas Kolze, who submitted CID 987
8.3.1.5. No approval action for the proposed comment resolution
8.3.2. CID 240:
8.3.2.1. Proposed resolution presented by Marc E.
8.3.2.2. Fahd Pirzada from Dell observed that the assumptions listed in Annex D, D.1 Introduction, should be expanded to include more detail.

8.3.2.4. No approval action for the proposed comment resolution.
8.3.3. Marc E. suggest to look at 11-07/2345r0 while discussing the proposed comment resolutions as it clearly reflects the changes to the Draft if the comment resolutions were accepted.

8.3.5.4. Marc E. takes the action item to come back with a new definition.
