230923S31 TEMPERATURE SENSOR (ELECTRONIC)

1. 100 or 1000 ohm 1/4" platinum wire wound RTD element.

2. Standard J (3 WIRE) configuration with teflon insulation.

3. European curve, Alpha=.00385 Ohms/Ohm/ degree C,meet DIN STD 43760.

4. Glass encapsulated element unless otherwise approved.

5. Wire in 3/4" conduit.

6. Stainless steel sheath and fitting e.g. 100% stainless steel.

7. SPACE SENSORS

Space RTD to be similar in appearance to thermostats without thermometer.

Locate in room with an outside wall if one is available in zone served.

8. DUCT AND WELL SENSORS

Standard lengths 5.5", 11.5", AND 17.5".

Use 8' averaging sensor where required to obtain reliable readings.

Locate in representative area of air stream.

1/2" NPT mounting thread and flange and conduit connection.

9. THERMOWELLS

Drilled brass or stainless steel or brass buildup well fitted with stainless steel sheath.

3/4" process connection for drilled wells.

1/2" NPT process connection for buildup wells.

Insertion into measured medium 1" + 1/2 DIAMETER OF PIPE.

Cast iron connector head 1/2" NPT process connection and conduit connection

Rated thermowell pressure 250 PSI.

10. ELEMENT ACCURACY

Must meet .1% DIN and the DIN 43760 standard.

11. OVERALL ACCURACY

+ 1 degree F General duct,space and thermowell temperatures.

+ .75 degree F for BTU System ele. on 4" or larger pipes.

+ .5 degree F for BTU System ele. on 8" or larger pipes.

12. OVERALL RANGE

20% TO 120% OF POSSIBLE OPERATING CONDITIONS.

GENERAL NOTE:

If wires from RTD probe to DGP are to be more than 200 feet long provide extra large cast iron connector head (nominal size 2 11/16 x l/4) or junction box to accommodate a resistance to 420 mA converter transmitter.
