Job Description - After School Club Co-ordinator:

  • To co-ordinate the out of hours care in Dining room, Sundowners room, or Nursery sessions during the designated hours and outdoors when the weather is suitable.
  • To promote a happy, safe and secure environment whilst carrying out the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that each girl feels valued and has a happy and enjoyable time.
  • Supervise homework, listening to readers, playing with the girls.
  • Dining Room duties:

Assist with organisation and smooth running of the dining room, e.g. queue management and clearing away.

Promote table manners

  • Playground duties:

Maintain high standards of behaviour and safety on outdoor equipment

Encourage and initiate play activities

Assist with organisation of sessions and maintain order, eg lining up

  • Classroom duties

Maintain high standards of behaviour and order in the rooms.

Promote and initiate play activities.

Job Description – One to One Carer:

  • To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the needs of a Year 1 pupil with Cystic Fibrosis, in liaison with the School Nurse, Head of Learning Support, and class teacher .
  • To ensure her overall wellbeing by balancing both the medical requirements of the CF treatments as well as her educational development within school.
  • Full training will be provided

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the class teacher and assess timings to do DNase
  • Be responsible for physiotherapy session and nebuliser for DNAse (in liaison with the school nurse).
  • Sterilise equipment as required.
  • Check stock of DNase, enzymes and any other current medication, send a request to parents for additional supplies as required
  • Calculate enzyme amounts for any food or drink, and watch how much she eats in order to calculate fat intake (not wheat and dairy).
  • Support catching up with any work missed while doing the physiotherapy session.
  • Supervise during break times, changing for swimming and on school trips to ensure the environment is suitable and safe.

General:

  • Attend all In-School training sessions as requested by the Headmistress or her Deputy.
  • Comply with the information and guidance in the Staff Handbook and all other School Policies.
  • Establish effective, professional working relationships with colleagues.
  • Set a good example to the girls through presentation, personal appearance and general conduct.
  • Be aware of safeguarding/child protection responsibilities and procedures in place at the school and bring any concerns immediately to the attention of the appropriate designated person.
  • Be responsible for personal health and safety at work and inform the Facilities Manager of any health and safety matters which need attention.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of behaviour.
