Annually We Hold a Silent Auction During Our Conference with Proceeds Benefiting the NGATEF

Greetings,

Can you believe another year is almost gone. The National Guard Association of Texas (NGAT) Educational Foundation (NGATEF) is busy preparing for our 14th Annual Silent Auction that will be held during the 58th Annual NGAT Conference in San Antonio, Texas, March 31 – April 2, 2017. The NGATEF is a non-profit 501c(3) not for profit organization and NGAT is a veteran’s organization with over 33,000 members who have or are currently serving in the Texas Military Department.

Annually we hold a Silent Auction during our conference with proceeds benefiting the NGATEF that awards some $15,000 in scholarships annually. In the past, businesses and community leaders have been most generous in donating products, service and cash (for the purchase of Silent Auction item). Last year our auction raised $4700.00, and we hope to exceed $5500.00 this year. We expect over 1000 attendees at our conference from all over the State of Texas.

A lot of great changes have been taking place within our organization over the past 8 months and we are excited about our future. With a new look and new leadership our organization has extraordinary potential for growth.

As we go about our daily lives the mission of the Texas Military Department seems to be never ending. We still have members of the Guard protecting the borders here in Texas and we continue to have members serving in Afghanistan, Egypt and Africa. The members we support never thought twice about answering the call to duty we hope you can help by answering this call for support. The Silent Auction has historically been our largest fundraiser and it can't be accomplished without the unwavering support of our fabulous contributors.

Here are some ways you can help: 1. Purchase an ad in our conference program. With this ad you could offer special discounts to military members. 2. Contribute an item(s) to the Silent Auction. Some items that have been donated in previous auctions are hotel packages, gift cards, theme baskets, event tickets, electronic equipment, homemade good & crafts, wine and spirits just to name a few. (Please date certificates 3/15/2017)

NGAT is committed to making a difference in the lives of National Guard veterans, Soldiers, Airmen and their families. Donations will receive recognition in our Auction Program. Your donation is fully tax-deductible (please check the appropriate box on the donor form, and we will send you a donation letter for your records after the auction). For your convenience, we have enclosed a Silent Auction Donation Form. Please return this form by mail, email or fax. In order for your donation to be printed in our bidding brochure, we must receive it by March 7, 2017.
