b.  Objectives- After using these fun activities, you will know a lot more about universities.
Motivation:
Today, we’re going to do a fun worksheet on sports.
Procedures:
Science:
1.  TTW introduce some animals and tell a little about them, (lions, rams, hawks, bears, alligators, and turtles) Refer to page 7 of "Ace Explores Campus".
2.  TTW explain what a few of these animals eat.
3.  TTW/TLW discuss the different animals.
4.  TTW introduce the "A Letter from WARHAWK 1" that describes a red-shouldered hawk's diet. Refer to page 1 of "Ace Explores Campus".
5.  TTW go over the letter.
6.  TTW ask students if they have questions about the letter from "Ace". / ULM Warhawks sports page

4.  TTW/TLW go over the correct spelling and answers of the worksheet.
Math
1.  TTW introduce a clock.
2.  TTW/TLW discuss different types of clocks.
3.  TTW read the book How to Tell Time.
4.  TTW/TLW will discuss the book by asking and discussing questions about the book.
5.  TLW label the clock in the Ace Adventure’s Booklet.
Social Studies
1.  TTW display a globe and a map.
2.  TTW lead students in a discussion of what a globe and map represent.
3.  TTW create a Venn Diagram to list the differences and similarities of a map and a globe.
4.  TTW display a picture of the state of Louisiana.
5.  TTW/TLW discuss the shape of Louisiana, “looks like a boot.” (See attachment 4).
6.  TTW divide the class into groups of four.
7.  TTW give each group large pieces of a Louisiana puzzle.
8.  TLW put the puzzle together as a group.
Art
1.  TTW read the book The Burgess Bird Book for Children.
2.  TLW use the worksheet to draw and color a picture of a hawk or his/her favorite character of the book. (See Attachment 5)
Closure: TTW ask TL to review the materials
learned.
Homework: TLW complete his/her projects/worksheets that were not finished during class.
Early Finishers: TLW color the Red Shouldered Hawk coloring page or the self-portrait page.
Special Needs: The student who has special needs will be assisted one-on-one by the teacher.
Remediation: The learners having difficulties with the activities will have one-on-one time with the teacher.
Enrichment: The learners who have met the objective will be allowed to draw a picture of things they have learned about the university.
