Advertisement for Doctoral Fellowship of ICSSR (2015-16)
Applications are invited for the award of 15ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship in Social Sciences preferably in subjects: Economics and Agriculture Economics-08, Sociology and Social Anthropology-01, Political Science and Public Administration-05, Social Geography-01. Candidates should have Post Graduate degree in Social Sciences from Recognized University with JRF/NET/M. Phil or PRT cleared from Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna/Magadh University, Bodh Gaya.
ADMISSION
1.Eligibility Criteria
The applicant should possess at least Master degree with minimum 55% marks in the subject in which she/he wishes to peruse the Ph. D. Programme. Preferences will be given to UGC-NET and JRF qualified students (Reservation norms will be applicable).
2.Application
The application can be obtained from ANSISS website and Aryabhatta Knowledge University website, Each applicant should submit a Statement of Purpose (describing his or her research interests), in addition to copies of his or her degree certificates, grade/mark-sheets and other documents mentioned in the application, together with the completed applicationwith mention of up to three areas of interest in the order of preference for Ph. D. programme. Incomplete application will be rejected.
3.Entrance Test and Interview
The selection will be on the basis of qualification, research proposal, written test and personal interview. Short-listed candidates will be called for interview. The interview date will be notified subsequently.
The Institute shall not provide any TA/DA or accommodation for attending the interview. The selected candidates will receive the offer letter containing last date for joining shortly after the interview.
The Institute reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason. The Institute is also not responsible for any postal loss/delays in communications.
Value of the Fellowship & Contingency Grant:
ICSSR offers the Fellowship amount for the first two years @ Rs. 16,000/= per month with a contingency of Rs. 15,000/= per year. Duration of the Fellowship is normally for two years and extendable by one year with the permission of ICSSR, New Delhi. This extension in 3rd year of fellowship to the scholars is subject to their satisfactory performance.
Last Date
The last date for the receipt of completed applications along with the research proposal (not exceeding 1000 words) is one month by the date of advertisement.
