Background

A one day workshop exploring and discussing our feelings and experiences of working with life limiting illness, meaning and existence in therapy.

Aims of the workshop

The following will be covered in the workshop:

  • Working in an oncology and palliative care setting
  • The psychological impact of a cancer diagnosis
  • Therapeutic challenges and boundaries
  • End of life and bereavement
  • An experiential discussion of our own feelings about mortality and how these may influence our work

Name of facilitator

Lucy Davidson is a Counselling Psychologist, currently working in an oncology and haematology outpatient clinic. She has worked in the cancer, palliative care and bereavement field for over 8 years, in the NHS, child and adult hospices and private practice settings.
