Nashvillesinger, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist turned recording artistTANYA DENNIS has paid her dues the traditional way as a touring band member with major Country Artists such as FAITH HILL, JANIE FRICKE, WADE HAYES, SKIP EWING, DAVE GIBSON,EDDIE RAVEN and WHISPERING BILL ANDERSON a warmed audiences for the likes of, LEANN RIMES, REBA Mc ENTIRE, and LITTLE TEXAS.Many world -class country artists have utilized her powerfully sultry, blues tinged voice, fiddle, mandolin and rhythm guitar playing skills in their touring entourages.

TANYA’S corebelief that experience, determination and talent are mightier than big bucks anda big label has paid off in a big way. After years of backing Country Music stars in theUS, Tanya has taken center stage in some of the most prestigious country music festivals on the European continent.Audiences delight in the fierce and fiery fiddling that is a hallmark of each of TANYA’S performances.

She has written and produced recordings and commercials for fellow artists and prominent corporations such as Mazda, Safeway Foods,and PAX Television Network. Many songwriters have utilized TANYA’S voice and violin to promote their songs in the viciously competitive Nashvillemarket. She frequently appears in recordings from great Indy Nashville artists such as the CARTER BROTHERS.

With the release of her first CD “WATERDANCE”, Tanya was voted the 1999 European Female Rising Star Award by country DJ’s worldwide as tabulated by and presented with the award in Nashville in October 1999. Tanya wrote or co-wrote all but one song on this CD. She also co-produced the project. Tanya has also been a featured writer “in the round’ at the world renowned BLUEBIRD CAFÉ, Nashville’sright of passage venue for songwriters.

In February 2000, awarded “WATERDANCE” second place forCountry CD ofthe Year and "The Bad Things You Do" for Blues Song of the Year. "Suspect Angel" was nominated for Country Song of the Year. All penned by Tanya.

In 2003, CD Baby, the mammoth independent artists organization featured TANYA’S song “Slow Burn” from“WATERDANCE” on their debut compilation CD.

In the spring of 2003, TANYA recorded and co-produced her second CD,“APARTMENT #9”. Unlike the eclectic country-blues tapestry of “WATERDANCE”,“APARTMENT #9”is traditional country. Like “WATERDANCE”, “APARTMENT #9” also gained top chart positions in European radio.

Currently, Tanya has embarked on an exiting and long anticipated new musical quest. To re-visit her roots in jazz and blues while infusing some blue water ju ju into her music with a 50 foot sailing vessel named “WINTERHAWK”. Never having been content with just one kind of music or lifestyle for that matter, Tanya is writing and developing new material in a new direction for her next CD while exploring and playing inthe coastal Southern US and Caribbean.
