SWIMMING CARNIVAL -All YEARS 2016
Dear Parent or Caregiver,
We are holding our whole swimming carnival on Thursday 8th December 2016, at Lambton Pool. The results from this carnival will be submitted to the primary region for zone representation in 2017.
This is a whole school swimming carnival; however two carnivals will run separately.
· The Primary carnival (competitors) is for students in Yr 2-6 in 2016 (N.B- year 2 students must be turning 8 years in 2017). However, if your child is in Yr 2 and is NOT A COMPETENT swimmer, they are invited to participate in the Infants carnival.
· The infants carnival will be a novelty/fun water play based day with novelty events and games.

The Carnival will be heldat Lambton Pool onThursday 8th December.
The cost of the excursion $12 per student- payable either online or at the office
Cost of entry for spectators $3.30 payable upon entry to at the gate.
All students are expected to come to school for marking of the roll. Students will travel by bus departing at 9:10am.
The Infants carnival will depart the pool at approximately 1:00pm.
The Primary carnival will conclude at approximately 2:20pm and students will return to school by 2.45 pm. Transport will be by private bus. Students may go home from the carnival with their parents, however it is essential that parents/carers sign their child out with their class teacher. No student will be allowed to leave with another parent unless a note has been given to the class teacher prior to the excursion.
For safety reasons all students must leave the pool grounds at the conclusion of the carnivals.
The canteen will be operating on the day, however for safety reasons; students will be escorted to the canteen once only in an allocated time slot. It would be appreciated if parents did not take their children or access the canteen outside of this time (in fairness for all). Students will be able to pre-order their lunch closer to the day which will enable a faster collection/line up.
Children will need—drink, lunch and recess, sun hat, sunscreen, jumper, swimmers, rash shirt (if they have one), asthma medication (if applicable) and towel. If possible, please send your child/ren to school with his/her swimmers under his/her sports uniform. It is advised that children bring a packed lunch as time to purchase food from the canteen will be limited.

Please Note: Due to Department Regulations this is a non-smoking event. No smoking is permitted on the grounds.
