SVMFL E-board Meeting Minutes

Meeting Agenda:

  1. Election Status:
  1. Vacant Positions
  2. We must make sure we have all paperwork in from applicants.
  3. Background checks need to be done.
  4. Need Driver’s License and volunteer form from all applicants.
  5. Hope, Terri or Tim will need to be the Voting Facilitator as they are not seeking re-election.
  6. Tuesday November 26, 2013 will be the E-board voting.
  7. Coaches and e-board ballot needs to have a Motion to allow uncontested positions to be appointed without voting.
  8. Two ballots are needed for the E-board vote and the coaches’ vote.
  9. Coaches Ballot needs to have an option to vote for A/B squad separation and if yes, what year? 2015/2016
  1. Playoff Schedule:
  1. Graduate Games
  2. Saturday Nov 8; 5p.m. A Raiders/Broncos and cheer graduates,

7 p.m., A Chargers/Bucs graduates

  1. Championship games:

A’s and B’s will be held at SHS on Nov 16. B’s at 1:30; A’s at 3:30

C’s, Flag, and Powder Puff will be held at SVMFL on Nov 17.

C’s at 9:30, Flag at 11:30 and Powder Puff at 1:30.

  1. Raffle baskets will be available on Saturday and Sunday during the playoffs for tickets. Winners will be pulled at championship games.
  1. All-Star games:
  1. Coach Selection:

A squad Head Coach – Tim O’Shea

B squad Head Coach – Scott Kieras

C squad Head Coach – Jon Evjen

All selections were made by majority vote of present E-board members.

  1. Player Selection:

Discussed 4 players from each team with 2 additional players chosen by the Head Coach.

  1. Refs:

George is checking on refs.

  1. All-Star Game is to be held on Nov 23 at SHS.

C’s 9 a.m.

B’s 11 a.m.

A’s 1 p.m.

Medals to be purchased for both teams participating and All-Star cheerleaders.

  1. Treasurer Report
  1. Trophy costs: $5.00 for graduates and champions only; Trophies can be purchased by parents if they wish.
  2. $150 for graduate pictures and flowers
  3. Less than $20,000 for end of year
  4. Chargers A/B squads will need jerseys next year
  1. Equipment Report
  1. Terri and Tim will set return dates based on as the teams are eliminated during playoffs.
  1. Coach Status & Team Status
  1. Saints B Coach – George will call reference Jude Kelly before making a decision.
  2. Bucs assistant coach – was arrested and will be suspended indefinitely pending outcome of charges.
  3. Dolphins V Raiders uniform issue- Highest-ranking team will get to choose what color uniform they wear. Other team will need to pic opposite color due to safety on the field.
  1. Safety Officer
  1. Board is in agreement that the Safety Officer should hold a position on the E-Board. Steps need to be put in motion to amend the by-laws for this.
  1. A to Z embroidery
  1. Will need to reconsider, as league was not totally satisfied with work.
