General notes: please put two spaces after each period before the beginning of another sentence. It looks cleaner. Also, I’m not sure the font you’re using is large enough here; 8.5 is quite tiny and will strain your supervisor’s eyes! Make it at least 10-point font, and increase the size of the titles if you need to. If you need some help with the formatting, I’ll be happy to assist.

While assigned to the Delta Domestic hybrid in-line system (L3s S5-S10), several TSOs complained about being overworked on the busiest machines while some TSOs never worked anything but the slowest of machines. The situation bred contempt and mistrust amongstthroughout the whole team. On my own initiative, I proposed to my supervisor the development of a rotation schedule to ensure an equal workload amongstfor everyone. I asked for feedback from all of my team members and engaged their support and cooperation for my project. Once the schedule was developed, my supervisor signed off on the plan. He and felt it best ifthat I explainedto my coworkers how the rotation was going to work. When it came time for implementation, I briefed my coworkers that they were to be split into smaller teams and their movements were to be coordinated every day according to the plan and any adjustments that may be needed. The benefits of the rotation schedule were immediate: as the consensus wasthat the plan was fair and no team was being overworked. Both morale and the day-to-day attitude amongstofthe whole team were improved and tensions eased.

While performing gate screening, one selected passenger refused to be screened. I approached the gentleman and attempted to explain the process and gain his cooperation. AgainHowever, he was adamant he could not go undergo screening a second time and that he be allowed to board. Patiently talking with the man to ease his tension, I learnedthat the passenger was an Israeli diamond merchant and he was carrying a significant amountnumber of diamonds on his person. His refusal stemmed not from frustration or anger, but from fear of the diamonds being seen. With the knowledge of why he was refusing screening, I arranged with a Delta supervisor the use of one of their break rooms, and we screened the passenger and his diamondsluggage/baggage (you’re using the word “diamonds” too much) in private. He became very cooperative with us after learning his diamonds were not about to be put on display. After his screening was completed, he thanked me for listening and understanding his needs and apologized for being difficult.

I created a rotation schedule for the Delta Domestic hybrid in-line system (L3s S5-S10). The creation of the schedule was very time-consuming and required about a week’s worth of research. I had to reference the work schedules for all my team members to ascertain my staffing levels from daytoday(hyphens deleted). I also consultedDelta’s passenger manifests to estimate the average daily workload of bags to be processed from Delta’s passenger manifests. I had to observe the flow and operation of each of the six L3s to determine both the maximum and minimum number of TSOs needed to man each machine effectively. I consulted with my coworkers and my supervisor to get feedback on my observations and ideasand also their own ideas and suggestions(same thing).

As a CTX 9000 OSARP OJT monitor, I became concerned about the level of recurrent OSARP training being offeredto the TSOs. The Atlanta airport has recently transitioned from L3s to CTXs and our Online Learning Classes had not caught up to the switch. I alerted my supervisor to the issue, and later my manageras well.to the issue. With their permission, I went to one of our TIAs and discussed the issue with him. I had previously discovered a Recurrent CTX 9000 OSARP class in the course catalog and had added it to my own Online Learning. I recommended the training department review that class to determine its suitability for all baggage TSOs. The training department decided to approve the class and now it is required for all Atlanta Baggage TSOs.

In May of 2006, a bomb scare occurred at the Delta International hybrid in-line system. The threat was significant enough to effectively shut down all operations at Delta International. With several incoming international flights due in, Delta coordinated with my team at the Delta Domestic hybrid in-line system to redirect all the international baggage to us. These incoming flights, coupled with our normal heavy load, were a significant strain on our operations. Delta exerted pressure on my team to turn around all baggage as quickly as possible to make their connecting flights. Remaining calm, I recalled all TSOs on break and cancelled all further breaks until the emergency was resolved. I re-distributed officers to machines to create the maximum efficiency possible and then joined them in processing as many bags as possible. In a very stressful emergency situation, my team processed over a thousand bags in forty minutes.

In June of 2006, I was the Point-of-Contact (Acting LTSO) for the Delta Domestic hybrid in-line system when a fuse blew. This fuse controlled all the in-line belts leading into our L3 machines. With the belts shut down, no baggage could reach our L3s to be processed. Upon realizingWhen I realized the situation, I quickly had Delta shut off the pushers that were kicking bags onto our non-moving belts. I alerted two supervisors to the situation and arranged for them to coordinate with Delta about other methods of getting bags processed for the rest of the day. Then, I arrangednegotiated with Delta for them to bring us bags still needing to be screened to be brought to us on carts. These carts could bewere parked close to the L3s and I had my team form a human chain from the cart to the L3 entrance, and thenand from the L3 exit to a nearby Delta belt. This situation remained in place for the rest of the day and I monitored all my team members to ensure fatigue and strain waswere not unduly affecting them. I also allowedand gave more time for breaks to rest. InOn a disastrous day, my level-headedness and quick thinking lessened the impact of a crisis.

1)As a member of a Rewards and Recognition committee here at Hartsfield Jackson, I have written a formal proposal for the establishment of a monthly attendance award. This proposal broke downdetailed the reason for the award, the details of establishing the award(was going to replace with “the establishment of the award” since I’d already used the word “detailed” and that would encapsulate providing details, but then I realized I have no idea what writing about the establishing would mean… what does that mean? Do you mean implementing it?), what the reward would be, and methods for measuring the success of the award over time. This proposal was submitted to the DAFSD for review.

2)I am a CTX 9000 OSARP OJT monitor. While in the course of my duties, I have filled out and completed many OJT logs. These logs include time monitored notations, a skills checklist, and certification signatures. I have also commented on the skills and weaknesses of the trainees. (Presuming you’ve done this more than once.)

As the Point-of-Contact (Acting LTSO) for the Delta Domestic hybrid in-line system, I routinely issued instructions to TSOs about their work assignments for the day. I have requested individuals to move from one L3 machine to another to cover breaks, unexpected machine failures, and personnel absences. Ihave issued instructions on changes in screening procedures, how our peak rush time was to be handled for that day, and established a schedule for online-learning. (make a note about how you enforced one or more of these things)

Standardize your tabs – this one is much smaller than all of the other ones you’ve used.

I was the Point-of-Contact (Acting LTSO) for the two days my supervisor was off at the Delta Domestic hybrid in-line system. Every day I was Point-of-Contact; I had to review my personnel and make adjustments for call-outs and scheduled leave. These adjustments involved moving individuals to ensure each machine was fully staffed and capable of handling breaks. Some days, I decided to shut down a machine for the day in order to keep a full complement of staff. I also have had to request changes in break and lunch schedules to ensure efficient coverage throughout the work day. I have delegated tasks to TSOs such as completing and turning in paperwork, cleaning the work area, and setting the break schedule.

In December of 2006, I was assigned to the AirTran oversized baggage screening area. A passenger approached me to tell me of a suspicious personinform me that another individual in the airport was behaving suspiciously. The passenger claimed to have observed this suspicious person in approximately the same place in the airport on several occasions. After thanking the passenger, I wrote up an incident report describing the passenger’s story anda description of the suspicious personindividual. A month later, an FBI agent showed up in relation to the suspicious personthese suspicions and was given a copy of my incident report.
