/ Week of November 7th – November 11th, 2011 /

“FAMILY MATH NIGHT” is Monday, November 7th. This is a great opportunity
for students and their parents to have some fun with math! Make plans to attend!
Veteran’s Day Program – If you are a veteran, you are invited to attend and bring a guest to the Veteran’s Luncheon on Friday. Please contact the librarian, Mrs. Onkst
and let her Know if you plan on attending. The luncheon will be followed with an
assembly program in the gym at 1:30

Please make sure your child is reading their library books every night. 52 points are due by this Friday.
Students have math homework EVERY Monday – Thursday. We had several more incomplete homework assignments last week than normal. We are beginning our division unit. We will be on division for the next 3 chapters. If students get behind at the beginning, it will be VERY DIFFICULT to catch up.
We are still collecting pop tabs. Please send those in to your child’s homeroom teacher.
Thanks Matthew Jordan
We are still collecting box tops. Please send those in to your child’s homeroom teacher and help our school earn money.
Folders come home EVERY MONDAY! Please check folder on Monday night and sign the back. Review all graded assignments so you will know how your child is doing. Also, please complete and return anything that needs to be sent back to school. FOLDERS AND SIGNED NEWSLETTERS SHOULD BE RETURNED ON FRIDAY!
Students need 4 AR points each week. Your child should be reading their library book each night at home. Students need 52 AR points by Friday. The objective of the accelerated reading program is to encourage students to read at home. Some students are not reading any at home and expecting to have time at school to get their AR points, but this is just not possible.
