DHS does not endorse the organizations listed below. This list of financial resources is not all-inclusive.

You may contact your regional Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services office to see if there is a hearing aid bank in your region.

AUDIENT Hearing Alliance

This program provides low cost hearing aids to low income individuals. Candidates will be required to verify their income.

Community Service Clubs

Check with your local Kiwanis, Lions or Sertoma clubs. Please note that not all clubs have funds to provide direct assistance.

Crippled Child Relief, Inc.

Provides assistance to people with low to medium income levels. Crippled Child Relief is not in the position to fund the full cost of hearing aids.

Assists children with health-related needs when insurance and other financial resources have been exhausted.

Hearing Aid Bank of Minnesota

Provides no-cost and low-cost hearing aids. This is a needs-based, financial assistance program developed by the Sight & Hearing Association.

This is a 6-month hearing aid loan program for newly identified infants and young children.

Medical Assistance

For eligible children under the age of 21, parents or relative caretakers of dependent children, pregnant women, people who are 65 or older and people who have a disability.

This subsidized health care program is for people who live in Minnesota, meet income and program guidelines, and do not have access to affordable health insurance.

Miracle-Ear Children’s Foundation

Provides new hearing aids and services to children who are 16 years and under, residents of the United States, and at an income level that does not allow them to be eligible to receive public support.

TPA Scholarship Trust for the Deaf and Near Deaf

Completed application must be returned to the Trust by March 1st each year. Recipients are notified in May and scholarship checks are mailed after Aug. 1st.

The United Healthcare Children’s Foundation

Provides assistance to eligible children for medical treatment. Please call and leave us a message. A Foundation representative will return your call within five business days.
