o  Push hard for the Textbook Affordability Committee.

o  Meeting on Nov. 3rd at 7:00 pm. There are a few applications ready.

Committee Chairperson Reports

-Membership and Outreach Committee (B. Tamme)

·  Club Milner will be December 6th. Working on getting everything started.

·  Will be passing out candy and collecting signatures Friday at Noon.

-Finance and Allocation Committee (A. Goldstein)

·  Approved both resolutions for today’s meeting.

-Civic Engagement Committee (K. Falson)

·  Working on setting up some events with Home Sweet Home ministries.

·  Contacting the Rec for the Police vs Students basketball game.

·  Feb 27th we will be volunteering at the Midwest Foodbank.

-Policies and Procedures Committee (A. Browder)

·  Still in the process of collecting signatures.

·  Continue taking it to RSOs, large lecture halls, etc.

·  Filming begins Tuesday! Film dates will be November 3rd, 10th, and 12th

Senator Group Coordinator Reports

-On Campus Senators (A. Holmes)

·  Working very closely with housing groups. Lots of great stuff going on at Cardinal. Will be moving forward with the water bottle refill stations. Will hopefully finalize proposals by next week.

·  Working on surveys and outreach in Waterson. There will be tables in Waterson dinning center next week.

·  Working very closely with ARH.

-Off Campus Senators (B. Grznich)

·  Thank you to everyone that came out to the Kegs on the Quad event, especially senator Johnson and Browder.

·  Meeting the LCC was successful, will be adding ideas to the Rate Your Landlord initiatives.

-Academic Senators (R. Thurman)

·  Thank you to everyone that came out to Meet Your Dean.

·  Contacted Summer Sessions about Winter classes

·  Working with Obi about a graduate event.

-Student Life Senators (H. Olson)

·  Working on getting RSOs more involved in community service events.

·  Tickets for pack the place are in the office.

Ex-Officio Reports

·  ALAS

o  Tomorrow is the Our Vote Matters event. 7:00pm SSB.

o  Sonido Latino is on Nov. 13th.

·  APAC

o  Had a meeting collaboration with Pride. Talked about LGBTQ into the Asian community.

o  Promo video for ISU without borders event is officially done. Looking forward to the event.

·  ARH

o  Looking forward to all of the upcoming events.

o  Wifi upgrades in Watterson. There will be notifications if your room will be affected.

o  TRI Tower fire alarms will be upgraded.

o  Latino Cultural Dinner, November 3rd, Brown Ballroom.

o  Washer and drier upgrades are going well.

·  BSU

o  November 14th collaboration event, The Apollo. Talent show, audience will be the judge. Start at 7:00, $7 tickets at the door. Portion of proceeds will be donated to charity.

o  Following day there will be a black excellence expo. 12-3 pm in the prairie room.

·  PRIDE

o  Please reach out to the ex-officios if you ever want to do a collaboration event.

·  Student Trustee

o  I’m here.

o  Wasn’t at the Board meeting.

o  The ISU budget passed.

o  Expansion of Watterson Commons was approved. With it there is the possibility of more off-campus meal plans.

o  Jamba Juice will be replaced by Starbucks in the Rec Center.

o  Had a meeting with Student Health Insurance today. For those that us ISU insurance, we have a great insurance program for students.

o  Board retreat is next week. Focusing on what the long-term plan for housing is.
