A brief overview

Friday -wet Quiet night marked by noticeable number of good wishes/ appreciation and questions about what we do from the young people wherever we went.

Saturday - Moderately busy in the town Centre. No intelligence of any expected trouble from the Police who will maintain a visible presence this evening.

1.Please continue to pray for the protection of the URC Kingston building and the safety of the team.

2.Please continue to pray for the other teams (about 180 locations) going out around the country, and the new places that are looking to start up (about 90)

3.Please thank God or our prayer pastors, for their dedication and support.

4.Please thank God for the deepening of relationships between us and the people we meet on the streets.

5.We are raising 100 people to give £10 per month to street pastors, please pray God would raise them up.

We now have 58committed to supporting Street Pastors on a monthly basis, praise God, 42 to go.

6.Please continue to pray for Sue and Dave Murwill for strength and God’s love.

7.Please pray for the team training this March, we have 8, they are Guido Brashi, Avril Ashworth, Scott Fraser, Siobhan Smith, Heba Hamad, Michael Odendaal, Daryn Parsonage and Liz Stuart

8.Please pray for the team, over the last 3½ years there have been health and family issues that have hit our team, please continue to pray for their protection.

9.Please keep praying for Justin, Stella, Jenny Wright’s husband Peter, Brenda Tyrrell and Kathie Warner’s husband Richard.

10.Please pray for the senior street pastors, for their protection and their families from the schemes of the enemy.

11.Please pray for Sue Liptrot’s husband Chris has non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He has had one chemo treatment but he will need 6 in total, 3 weeks apart. .He is coping well although at present there are times he is very tired. He has a positive attitude and has been through chemo before 15 years ago. His heart is still an issue but it is being monitored. Prayers to keep all our spirits up.

12.Please pray for Grahams Hayman’s wife Ruth for healing.

I believe that when we come across people, that we impact them with God who goes with us, when we pray for them afterwards we are asking God’s blessing on them and that they would be touched by God’s love.

2320 Lloyd’s Bar spoke to Iain, the Manager. His little girl named, Brooke is not very well. We said we would pray for her and his wife, that they would get a good night’s sleep.

0040 - 0110 T K Maxx spotted on the bench a McCluskys female security person trying to look after a white female, late teens, who appeared to be intoxicated. When we arrived she left. The girl was pretty incoherent but breathing fine and was ill. Dina cared for her. Apparently she’d been in the venue and was passing out and was considered a danger to herself and others. It was felt that she was very vulnerable and would be at risk if we put her in a taxi if they would be willing to transport her. Apparently it was her sister’s 21st birthday party in McCluskys and they did not realise that she had been ejected from the venue. We requested that the venue page her sister and they had already located her and she was on her way out to meet us. She called their mother and Mom was coming to pick her up. Mom arrived and we assisted to get her in her car. We gave Mom a Street Pastor card and she thanked us. A happy ending but we need to pray for all involved in this incident. The mum called Paul the next day and was very thankful for the care and help the team had given her daughter.

0150 Eden Street met young man, 20’s, from Streatham. he had an encounter with the team and Louis had spoken to him about 2 years ago. On that night he was suicidal and very upset about losing his job as well as breaking up with his girlfriend. The Holy Spirit helped to remember the place where we originally met and where he hailed from. It made an impact on his friends as well as him, who was amazed that he was remembered so well. We need to pray for his salvation, we gave him a card. he strolled off happy and with a new girl on his arm.

0205 Back into the URC – no chips tonight as we have been blessed by the URC who gave us sandwiches and bits left from their quiz night!

11.55- Clarence Street outside Evans- Spoke to aman, homeless guy & his friend - gave them couple of space blankets. She shared with us how he nearly died and how he has been left with no sensation & movement in his legs, the reason he uses a wheelchair. We have met him previously and cared and prayed for him, please pray for him again

03.45 Oceana –Young man, WM late 20’s wanted to know about SP- called himself “a bit of an atheist”. Convoluted discussion about evil/satan. He believed in Jesus’ teaching but “not organised religion”. Left with hugs. Hope we have sowed seeds that God loves him but satan doesn’t.Please pray for him

Please pray for the teams out this week:

Friday – Jenny, Peter Watson, Bethany, Kathie Warner and Estrella. Prayer pastors David Rosemeyer and Mike Sainsbury.

Saturday – Helen, Graceia, Katie Cooper, Liz and Fariydoon. Prayer pastor Shervin
