The meet will be conducted under the auspices of Southeastern Swimming, Inc. of United States Swimming. USA Swimming technical rules and regulations will be followed with the exception of items specifically addressed in the meet information sanctioned by Southeastern Swimming, Inc. USA Swimming shall be free and held harmless from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event.

Meet Course: All events: LCM

Eligibility: All participants must be USA Swimming registered athletes. No swimmer who is not a member as provided in article 302 will be permitted to participate except as provided in article 202.6. Entries will not be accepted without current 2016 registration numbers. Coaches and officials must present evidence of certification as required by Southeastern Swimming. A swimmer’s age on the first day of the meet will determine his or her age for the entire meet. Deck registration will not be permitted.

Rules: Current USA Swimming rules will govern the conduct of the meet unless noted herein.

Official’s attire will be white shirts (with collar), khaki pants or shorts and white shoes.

Facilities: One 10 lane, 50 meter course with a pool depth of 4.5-6 feet, using the Colorado 6000 timing system and a 10-lane Daktronics scoreboard. A separate pool will be available for warm-up and warm-down.

The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming.

Swimmers, coaches, officials, and volunteers will be allowed on deck with proper credentials. All spectators are asked to sit in the balcony or in a designated overflow space. No coolers or cots will be permitted on the pool deck. Swimmers and parents are not permitted to set up chairs in the hallways or entrances due to local fire regulations.

Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited.

Coaches are asked to display, in an obvious location, their USAS Membership cards to be allowed on deck at any SES sanctioned meet. All coaches must be prepared to show their coaching credentials, USA-S card or Deck Pass at any time to the Meet Director and /or the Meet Referee who shall be responsible for compliance with this regulation.

Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms

Warm Up: Southeastern Swimming Meet Safety Guidelines and Warm-up Procedures will be in effect at this meet. The Meet Director will post and announce the warm-up assignments prior to the start of the meet warm-up. Swimmers attending the meet without a coach must report to the Meet Director or Meet Referee to be assigned a coach for warm-up prior to each session.

Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Scoring: Individual Events: 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

Relay Events: 18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2

All swims within a single age group will be counted to determine high point awards. Separate scoring will be done for 8 & under swimmers and 9-10 swimmers who swim in the 10 & under events as well as for 13-14 swimmers who swim in Open events (1500 free, 400 free, and 400 IM). Any points earned by a 12-year-old swimming in an open event will not be counted in the 11-12 age group high point calculations.

Awards: Individual and Relay: Ribbons for 1st through 8th places for all 12 and under individual events and 1st through 3rd places for all relays.

Individual High Point: High point and runner up in each age group and gender based on the above scoring guidelines.

Meet Format: All events will be conducted in long course meters. All events are timed finals. All events will be pre-seeded EXCEPT for the 1500 free and relays. Positive check-in will be required for the 1500 freestyle by 5:30pm Friday. Failure to swim the 1500 freestyle after positive check-in will result in the swimmer's disqualification from the next individual event. Relay cards should be completed and turned in each day by the start of the afternoon sessions.

The 1500 freestyle and the 400 IM will be limited to swimmers who are 12 years of age and older. Both the 1500 and 400 individual events will swim fastest to slowest, alternating gender. The meet referee and the meet director reserve the right to impose the following limits if necessary to preserve a reasonable and/or regulation timeline:

·  20 fastest seeded swimmers per gender in the 1500 free (Fri night)

·  30 fastest seeded swimmers per gender in the 12 and under 400 free (Fri night)

·  40 fastest seeded swimmers per gender in the 400 IM (Sat morning)

·  40 fastest seeded swimmers per gender in the Open 400 free (Sun morning)

The Meet Referee reserves the right to alter the meet format per USA Swimming guidelines. The meet will be swum in 1 session on Friday evening and 2 sessions daily on Saturday and Sunday. The 13-14 & senior sessions will begin with two warm-up sessions at 7:30 and 7:55. The meet will start at 8:45. The 12 & under afternoon session warm-ups will begin no earlier than 11:30am. The meet begins no earlier than 12:15pm.

Scratches: Swimmers will report directly to the blocks when their event is called. Swimmers not reporting to the blocks will be scratched from that event only except as stated above in the 1500 freestyle.

Amenities: Hospitality services will be provided for coaches and officials. A first aid station, concessions, and swim vendor will be available. A t-shirt vendor will be available at the discretion of the Meet Director.

Heat Sheets: Heat Sheets will be sold for $10 a piece at concessions.

Entries: Limited to 500 swimmers. If a team puts the number of participants over 500, the entire team will be accepted. Entries will be accepted in the order they are received.

Swimmers are limited to 5 individual events per day, exclusive of relays.

A fully and correctly completed entry includes waiver and fees. No exceptions. In order for an entry to be accepted, it must be legible and complete. Properly completed entry forms include:

First name, middle initial and last names of each swimmer

Age of athlete

USA Swimming registration number

Meter times for each swimmer in each individual event

Relay times should be listed for each relay to be entered

Disabilities: Swimmers with disabilities are welcome and are encouraged to complete the Information Form for Disabled Swimmers and return it with entries.

Relays: $10.00

Facility Surcharge: $12.00

SES Surcharge: $3.00 for SES Registered Swimmers

$5.00 for outside of SES

Late Fees: Individual event: $7.00. Relays: $14.00. SES Surcharge: $3.00 or $5.00 for outside of SES. Facility Surcharge: $15.00

Deadline: Entries will be accepted beginning on Monday, May 2, 2016 and will continue to be accepted until the meet is full or Tuesday, May 24, 2016 whichever comes first.

E-mailed Hy-Tek entries are preferred. Please include summary totals and contact information in the body of your e-mail. Please provide a hard copy for verification.

Deck Entries: Will be accepted no later than 30 minutes before the start of each session and only if lane space is available. No new heats will be formed.
