Storm Forecast Problem: Develop a plan for responding to a severe weather event.
You are a meteorologist and have been given the task to inform the public of the hazards of severe weather. You will research one of four types of severe weather: hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms or blizzards and produce an informative video (no more than 8 minutes). Your presentation should include the following:
- Identify and describe a type of severe weather that can occur in the United States.
- Explain why and how this weather happens- for example: type of front, pressure associated with storm, cloud formation, precipitation.
- Explain where and why this storm is likely to occur.
- Describe the dangers and safety precautions people need to know.
- Propose ways people can prepare for your severe storm.
You must use at least three reputable sources. You must cite your sources by listing them. If you use any images, remember that you must cite those sources as well.
Your project must include a script. Youmay also include bloopers and short commercials but they do not count towards your total time.
