· Health visitors, Midwives and other health professional looking to increase skills and knowledge to enhance their practice working with breastfeeding mothers and babies.
· Infant Feeding Co-ordinators and those training other colleagues
· Candidates preparing for the IBLCE Lactation Consultant exam and requiring a comprehensive lactation course of at least 90 hours as required by IBLCE.
· IBCLCs recertifying and seeking to earn the required CERPS.
· Breastfeeding Counsellors seeking to update skills and knowledge.

DATES: One Monday per month between July 2015 and June 2016. This is timed just right for anyone aiming for the October 2016 IBLCE exam. See booking form for actual dates.
TIME: 9am – 5pm with 45 minutes lunch break.
FORMAT: Each day is a combination of lecture, games, video, discussion, handouts, practical demonstration, dramas, case studies and skills practice which link theory to everyday work with breastfeeding mothers and babies. There is variety and we have fun! Each Study Day ends with a learning review of multiple choice exam questions to test recall and problem solving around the topic for that day, thus providing great practice for "The Exam."
CERTIFICATES FOR PROFESSIONAL STUDY: Students who do all 12 study days and all 12 (optional) homeworks will receive the LEAARC endorsed Breastfeeding Specialist Course completion certificate, representing 70 hours attendance plus 50 hours graded homework. Completion of individual study days or graded homeworks will earn individual certificates. CERPS have been awarded by IBLCE.
