Steps To implementRevised Pay Scale.
Note: For Group A and B Officers, Revised pay should be effected only after getting pay Slip
from Accountant General Office.
Step 1: Select “Promotion” module and select “Effect Revised Pay”screen.
Step 2: Enter the kgid number who belongs to State Scale and click “Get” Button.
Step 3: In the first part of the screen, current detailsof the employee will be displayed andin the second part, Revised Pay Scale details will be displayed.
Note:
1)Please verify the pay scale and current basic projected by HRMS on second part of the screen. (In cases of any errors please request your HOD to correct and proceed further )
2)If old pay scaleis wrong the projection of revised pay scale will wrong,in such case please correct previous payscale or basic pay before effecting revised pay scale.
Corresponding DDO is responsible in case of wrong pay scale or basic effected.
Step 4: After verifying all the details, click on “Save” Button, records will be moved to unapproved list.
Step 5: Once the record is in unapproved list, please verify the details again and click on “Approve” Button.
Once the record is approved, Pay scale, Basic and Stagnation details will be updated for the particular employee according to the revised Pay scale. Regenerate the paybill and verify details.After effecting pay commission, pay commission arrears could begenerated by using *Generate arrears* option with arrear type as *'Promotion'*
Note:
1)If the Salary Bill of April 2012 is already approved for the Employee, 6th pay arrears can be generated after adding the record in select EffectPay scale-2012 under Promotion Menu.
2)DA :
- DA is stopped for revised pay scale and forold pay scaleDA of 69.5% of basic will be generated.
3)CCA (CITY COMPENSATORY ALLOWANCES): Revised below rates will be applied as per revised payscale

4)HRA:
- HRA rates will be same as old pay scale for different citygrades.
- As per old pay scale, RA was provided to ‘E’ City grade of state scale is now shifted to ‘D’ City grade as per revised pay scaleand those can add RA in “Employee specific allowance” screen for the bill before April 2012
5)IR (INTERIM-RELIEF):
- IR stopped from 01/04/2012 for Revised pay scale.
6)RA (Rural Allowance):
- No RA will be given as per Revised Pay scale.
7)Increment:
- Increment can be effected only in Revised Pay, on or after 01/04/2012.
- For those where increment was already given for April 2012, mapping records according to Revised Pay
will be automatically inserted, once Revised Pay is effected.
- If Increment is due for May 2012, please effect the increment once Revised Pay is effected as Increment will not be processed from HRMS Backend.
8)Suspension:
- For the Employees who are under Suspension, Revised Pay cannot be effected until Suspension is revoked withthe Treat Suspension as Duty or Leave.
9)Leave:
- If an employee is in Leave, Employee will not be eligible for revised pay scale in Leave Period.
10)Promotion:
- Promotion can be effected only in revised pay scale, on or after 01/04/2012.
- For those where Promotion was already given on 1st April 2012, mapping records according to Revised Pay
will be automatically inserted, once Revised Pay is effected.
