JOB PURPOSE
The post holder will be part of a team providing administrative, clerical and attendance support. The post holder will communicate with families, provide word-processing, typing, data input, photocopying and general administrative support under the direction of the Office Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.  To undertake day-to-day telephone communications with families, maintain records of contact and liaise with members of staff, in relation to attendance.
2.  To assist in the compilation of information and statistics in relation to attendance as required, including routine calculations and any other information as may be necessary. Ensuring clear and accurate presentation.
3.  To familiarise and comply with policies and procedures of the school.
4.  To actively support the school’s aims and ethos.
5.  To actively support and comply with the school’s policies on:
Equal Opportunities, Child Protection, Discipline, Confidentiality
6.  Assist in maintaining the school record systems. This will include filing and updating manually held systems and the input of data, eg. attendance and performance data, to the school computer based admin systems.
7.  To provide word processing and typing support, including reports, minutes of meetings and to participate in the processing of standard letters and documents.
8.  To participate in specific attendance related projects as directed.
9.  A willingness to undertake training to develop job-related skills – this will include first aid training and training in the use of adrenaline/ insulin pens.
10. To accept any other responsibility as deemed necessary by the Headteacher/ Line Manager.

GCSEs desirable
Knowledge/Experience
Operating knowledge of office machinery such as fax, photocopier, etc. desirable
Computer skills desirable

Good switchboard and reception skills

Minute taking

Written communication skills producing clear and accurate results

Oral communication skills, able to communicate clearly and appropriately to a wide range of people

Good organisational skills and time management

Punctual and well motivated, taking pride in working carefully and well

Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines while maintaining accuracy
