The Knights of Columbus Council 11700 of Mary Our Queen Parish established the Tuition Assistance Program with the purpose of providing financial assistance for children and grandchildren of active or deceased members of this Council who will attenda Catholic high school or Catholic university for the school year 2017-2018.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Your answers must be a 200-300 word essay for each question.
  • The essays are required to be typed, double-spaced, and use 10 point Arial Font.
  • Essays will be evaluated and scored on proper English, which will include: content, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and applicant's ability to thoroughly address the topics.
  • Applicant must attend a Catholic high school or Catholic university.
  • Applicant must be a child or grandchild of an active/deceased member of Council 11700
  • Awards will range from $100 to $500 for each recipient, based on funds available, the number of applicants, the essay responses and the Knights involvement in the council. A maximum of $1000 may be awarded to a Knight's family or sponsoring Knight, per year.
  • Funds will be sent directly to the school listed above.
  • Application and essays must be completed in MS Word or a compatible format or sent as a PDF file and received by May 15, 2017. Failure to meet requirements may result in a reduction of award or disqualification for award.

  • Applicants should send the application with a Request a Read Receipt acknowledgement requested. The read receipt will give you a confirmation that your application has been received and opened.
  • Recipients of the Tuition Assistance Program award will be notified by June 15, 2017.

Emailed applications will receive an email confirming the receipt of your application within 24 hours. Applications received by mail will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of receipt.
