16.145 Minutes.
The Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on 7th November 2016 as circulated, were agreed and signed as a true record of the business transacted.

16.146 Matters Arising
1/ Item 16.131/4 – Nottinghamshire County Council have stated that it is not practical for the highways inspector to undertake accompanied inspections, as their workload can change and alter on a daily basis in response to urgent incidents.

2/ Item 16.136/b - Mather Jamie have confirmed in writing that the 2.5 metres will remain in the ownership of the Parish Council and have also acknowledged the Title Plan as forwarded.

/4. PPSG meeting – the next meeting will be held on 25th January 2017 at Keyworth Village Hall when Paddy Tipping will be attending. Any questions for Mr Tipping should be submitted to the PPSG by 31st December. It was agreed that the Parish Council submit a concern regarding the loss of police in the Soar Valley beat especially taking into account the increase in crime in the village.

/a. Landcroft Lane entrance – email from Gary Longstaff (Rushcliffe Enforcement Officer) and Anthony Nolan (Nottingham University) were circulated and discussed. It was agreed that the Parish Council should write to Andrew Nolan requesting a road sign at the junction of Melton Lane/Landcroft Lane saying ‘No Access to the University’ and that a large sign should be placed at the University exit instructing all vehicles to turn right. It was further proposed that a letter be sent to Rushcliffe Borough Council pointing out the Parish Council’s dissatisfaction with the Enforcement Officers lack of actions.

/1 Highway Matters:
/a. NCC Report.
1) Station Road junction - Nottingham University Students Union are hoping to have the petition filled in by January. It was proposed that a meeting be set up with Kendra Hourd in the New Year to discuss possible ways forward with regard to making the junction safer.

/b. Hungary Lane – concerns regarding the condition of the highway and verge on Hungary Lane have been forwarded to Rushcliffe Borough Council and Nottinghamshire County Council. Nottinghamshire County Council have requested that the road surface is swept at regular intervals and that the contractors will be expected to reinstate the verge when the building work is complete.

/b. Drainage:
1) Drainage report was circulated. Drainage work has now been completed with a large amount of silt being removed from outfalls. It was proposed that the work should be done on an annual basis to maintain the standard which will help prevent flooding on Main Street and Park Lane.

2) Charnwood Avenue – despite frequent requests Nottinghamshire County Council have still not arranged a site meeting.

3) The Canals and River Trust have now agreed terms with the landowner and are to restart the vegetation clearance work within the next 10 days.

/a. LANRAC – the parliamentary debate on the electrification programmer was reported and discussed. T.W. Holt to attend a East Midlands Trains Stakeholder meeting on the 6th December 2017.
