<!--%%text_7%%On a very dark Halloween night about 1930, a large group of teenage boys from Rosine thought it would be great fun to steal Mr. Van House's wagon. They went to his farm and carefully laid out their plans to take the wagon up the Mount Pleasant Road about two and a half miles.<br<br>With nothing ever getting past Van, he saw the boys at his barn and started making some plans of his own. Taking an old worn-out hat and pulling it down over his head, he quietly slipped out of his house. With no moon nor stars out, he was able to ease himself into the crowd without being noticed.<br<br>The Mt. Pleasant Road being very hilly, unpaved and with no streetlights made stealing the wagon no easy task. About two hours later the deed was done. The group was thrilled with their accomplishment. Everyone was laughing, congratulating himself and talking about how mad "Old Man" House was going to be when he found his wagon missing. Then someone in the crowd said, "Boys, this is really fun! I haven't had this good of a time since I can't remember when! Now, lets take my wagon back to the barn." Much to the boys' surprise, there stood Van.<br<br>So back they went. It was a long night for the boys and they had had their fun, but I think my Pappa House had the most fun of all!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n%%-->
