Upon the recommendation of the appropriate administrative and/or academic officers, the Board of Trustees of Stark State College, at its meeting held on the date shown below, confirmed your appointment to the position listed below. The terms of your 75 Work Day Contract are:

1. Title: Temporary Full Time Lecturer / 2. Department: XXXX

3. Salary: $14,745 for 75 work days for 100 percent of temporary full-time.

4. Your duties will be as assigned by your immediate supervisor, and other such departmental or divisional duties as shall be assigned.

Your salary for services rendered will be paid in equal installments on a biweekly basis, effective XX/XX/2013. Services shall be rendered during the terms indicated and/or the particular period specified.

This is written to relate the terms of agreement concerning your employment during the Spring Semester of the 2012-2013 fiscal year. This agreement, including the payment of salary, is conditioned upon satisfactory performance of your job duties, and also is subject to change depending upon the sufficiency of Legislative salary appropriations and the receipt of sufficient funds in the Account specified above. The pertinent provisions of the Revised Code of Ohio, the Policies and Procedures of Stark State College, the Rules for the College Faculty and the Official Actions of the Board of Trustees are expressly incorporated herein, and this agreement is conditioned upon full compliance therewith.

This contract is predicated upon representations regarding education and experience qualifications which, if subsequently prove to be inaccurate, shall cause this contract to be voidable at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.

When, as herein noted, said individual is employed as a member of the faculty of Stark State College, the following additional terms shall be observed:

A.  Unless otherwise noted in item three above, said employee agrees to render full-time service for the periods indicated or the periods specified by contract each fiscal year, as assigned by the appropriate administrative official. The employee will advise his/her immediate supervisor in writing of any activities in which said employee may engage which will or may result in rendering less than full-time service to the College. The employee may not accept employment outside the College during the effective period in which services are rendered without prior consent of the President.

B.  Salary will be paid in equal installments, on a biweekly basis only after services have been rendered, less any legally authorized deductions, unless indicated under Special Provisions.

C.  In the event that a contract for the next term is not offered by the College, or is not accepted by the employee, coverage under the College’s insurance programs shall terminate on the last day of the month during which the employee last performed services for the College under this contract.

D.  The College shall have the sole right to review the needs of the College and the performance of employees; and expects employees to participate in training and remain current with technology appropriate to their job duties. The College shall retain the right, at any time, to assign an employee to different positions and responsibilities

E.  This contract is further conditioned upon your compliance with all Rules and Regulations, Policies and Procedures and adherence to the Guidelines for Temporary Full-Time Lecturers as set forth by Stark State College. Violation of such Rules and Regulations, Policies and Procedures or of any of the terms of this agreement shall cause this contract to be voidable at the discretion of the President.

F.  Employee is entitled to count as a day of service any Legal Holiday during which the College buildings and offices are closed and any personal day providing such Holiday or personal day occurs during the contract period for which services are being rendered by the employee.

G.  Employee is entitled to vacation leave of 0 days per month, which leave may be accrued to a maximum of 0 days.

H.  Employee is entitled to sick leave of 1.25 days per month.

I.  Employee shall be granted 1.25 days of personal leave each term.

Because the College must have your acceptance before it can complete the appointment procedures, please sign and return the original agreement to the Business Office. The other copy is for your files.
