CLASS MASSES

We will celebrate First Friday Mass on June 1st, at 8:10am. All students will be attending.

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS THIS WEEK:(additional fees apply for these programs)

Kantorei Choir (gr. 5-8)- no rehearsal. Year-end party - TBA

Homework Club – club on Tuesday through Thursday., 3:15-4:30pm, library

Musical Theatre – (grades 3-6) – workshop on Fri., 1:15 – 2:30pm

Basketball Clinic– LAST clinic on Friday, 1-3pm

$1.00. Proceeds from this sale will benefit the 1stgrade adopted pets at the

MoorparkCollege Zoo.

COLOR WAR DAY!

On Thursday, May 31st, each grade can show their spirit by wearing a t-shirt of the color assigned to their class. The rest of the school uniform must be worn with the shirt. Kindergarten – orange 1st – purple 2nd – gray 3rd – green 4th – red

ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PARENTS

  • IMPORTANT: Please be sure to read the enclosed information giving you the option of purchasing your child’s iPad. If you do not wish to purchase the iPad, it must be turned in to your child’s homeroom teacher on Friday, June 1st. If you decide to purchase your child’s iPad, your $400 check must be received by the school office no later than Friday morning, June 1st.
  • We hope that you will join us at First Friday Mass on Friday, June 1st at 8:10am. 8th graders will be honored by the 7th grade students.
  • Disneyland trip is scheduled for Monday, June 4th. The buses will leave St. Mel’s at 8:00am and will return to St. Mel at approximately 8:00pm. for parent pick-up. Students should wear comfortable clothing and carry money in their pockets. Jeans are acceptable for this field trip. Baggy or ripped clothing, short-shorts, midriffs, tank tops, spaghetti straps or inappropriate T-shirts will not be allowed.
  • Tuesday, June 5th – school hours: 8am to approx. 12:00noon. Awards Ceremony for students and their parents will be held at 11:00am, in the school auditorium. Parents are asked to attend this special ceremony. Students will be dismissed at the conclusion of the Awards Assembly. Graduation Dance will be held from 7-10pm, in the O’Connor Center.
  • Wednesday, June 6th.– Graduation – students should report to their homerooms at 5:00pm. Graduation Mass will be held at 5:30pm in the Church. After Mass, students will process over to the Msgr. O’Connor Center for their diplomas. (approximately time of the Mass and Ceremony is from 5:30 – 7:30pm).
