St. Elmo Board of Education, February 27, 2017

The Board of Education of St. Elmo Community School District No. 202 met in Regular Session at 7:30pm, Monday, February 27, 2017. Present were: Andra Carson, Kevin Maxey, Shannon Moss, Mindy Healy,Jared Stine, Chad Wilhour, and Doug Aderman. Also present were Deb Philpot, Brian Garrard, Sean Hannagan, Jill Hill, and Julie Healy.

Motion by Adermanseconded by Healyto approve the consent agendaitems: Meeting Minutes from January 9, 11, 16, Special Board Meetings and January 23, 2017 Regular Board meeting, Administrator ReportsandBills and Financial reportswere approved. Ayes: Aderman, Carson, Healy, Stine, Moss, Wilhour, and Maxey. Nays: None.

Motion by Healy seconded by Moss to approve 2017-2018 School Calendar was approved. Ayes: Carson, Healy, Stine, Moss, Wilhour, and Maxey. Nays: Aderman.

Motion by Moss seconded by Wilhour to approve updated Risk Management Plan was approved. Ayes: Aderman, Carson, Healy, Stine, Moss, Wilhour, and Maxey. Nays: None.

Motion by Moss seconded by Stine to approve Intergovernmental Agreement with Regional Office of Education #3 to participate in Alternative Education Programs was approved. Ayes: Aderman, Carson, Healy, Stine, Moss, Wilhour, and Maxey. Nays: None.

Motion by Stine seconded by Healy to approve Constellation as Energy Provider effective March 1, 2017 for a two year contract. Ayes: Aderman, Carson, Healy, Stine, Moss, Wilhour, and Maxey. Nays: None.

Motion by Mossseconded by Carsonto enter into closed session to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body, or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the pubic body to determine its validity at 8:07pm. Ayes: Aderman, Carson, Healy, Stine, Moss, Wilhour, and Maxey. Nays: None.

Motion by Adermanseconded byCarsonto enter into open session at 9:18pmwas approved. Ayes: Aderman, Carson, Healy, Stine, Moss, Wilhour, and Maxey. Nays: None.

Motion by Stine seconded by Moss to employ Morgan Myers as Assistant High School Softball Coach for the 2016-2017 School Year was approved. Ayes: Aderman, Carson, Healy, Stine, Moss, Wilhour, and Maxey. Nays: None.

Motion by Aderman seconded by Stine to adjourn. Ayes: Aderman, Carson, Healy, Stine, Moss, Wilhour, and Maxey. Nays: None.
