ELAWelcome back. I hope that everyone had a great break. We are working full force on preparing for the NYS ELA test that is coming up at the end of March. Students will be looking at old NYS test and we will be working through them throughout the next couple of weeks. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at
Science
AlhamduliAllah we had science fair on Feb.17 and students were working hard for the past three weeks and I am proud of each and every student’s work.
This week students were introduced to different organ systems. They had fun doing a readers theater. Then they read and watched a video about each organ system and had to recognize the main function and main parts of each organ system.
Next week they will have an opportunity to design each organ system with the main parts. If they accomplish to finish this project we will practice readers theater and present it on Fridays’ assembly. I will send a message in case they are presenting.

We started module 5 – geometry. We will be slowing down with this module, as the students do not remember much about this topic. We will work thought this.
In April we will beginning NYS review. Please continue to work with your child at home.

Quran
Content Objectives/ Goals:
1. The students will memorize their own surah.
2. The students will practice reading surah assumer.
3.Tajweed lesson is: Qalqalah, Natural Madd, and Ith’ar,al- Iqlab.
4.The students will practice reading surah al-Kahf for Friday.
Homework
Reading surah assumer ayat (65-end) and find Qalqalah, Natural Madd, and Ith’ar,al- Iqlab.
Memorize your ownsurah.
Reading surah al-Kahf.
NOTE: Please have your children practice sunnah al- Juma’h (Sunnah for Fridays): such as cutting the nails, taking a shower and brushing the teeth.
