4.  Review August 16-17, 2016 Minutes

SPSG will consider approving minutes from the August 16-17, 2016 SPSG meeting.

5.  Review of Previous Action Items—Jim Baak, SPSG Chair (1:15 – 1:30)

·  Joint Metrics Data Task Force (JMDTF) Kick-Off Meeting to be scheduled, solicit interest in participation and leadership. (Pending)

·  WECC to convert SPSG 2016-2017 Timeline and Plan into Gantt Chart format for committee distribution. (Pending)

·  If additional technical findings need to be communicated by E3 regarding the Energy Water Climate Change Scenario, a webinar will be scheduled prior to moving forward. (No additional findings noted)

·  New member orientation webinar scheduled for mid-September. (Complete – September 14, 2016)

·  WECC to determine if they can direct E3 to conduct refresh of Generation/Transmission Capital Cost calculations for Reference Case and Scenario use. (In Progress – awaiting finalized contract)

6.  SPSG Update—Jim Baak, SPSG Chair (1:30 – 2:00)

Jim Baak, SPSG Chair, will lead a discussion regarding vacant SPSG positions and tentatively-approved members (pending Board approval in December BOD meeting).

7.  WECC Staff Update – Colby Johnson, WECC (2:00 – 2:20)

Colby Johnson, WECC, will update the committee regarding recent work, upcoming staff priorities, and future work.

8.  JPTRTF Update – Bryce Freeman (2:20 – 2:30)

Bryce Freeman will provide a brief update regarding the Reliability Assessment Committee and Anchor Data Set Proposals.

9.  Scenario Trends Update – Quantum Planning Group (3:15 – 4:15)

Gerald Harris and Richard Marrs, Quantum Planning Group, will update the committee regarding Scenario Early Indicator Trends and Movement.

11.  Meeting Efficiency—Jim Baak, SPSG Chair (8:00 – 9:00)

Jim Baak, SPSG Chair, will lead a discussion regarding improving the efficiency of meetings as they relate to the group meetings of SPSG, TAS, and TEPPC. Topics of concern include, meeting overlap, time allocations, and remaining cognizant of member time, travel and related expenses.

12.  2017 Study Program – Colby Johnson, WECC (9:00 – 10:00)

Colby Johnson will lead a discussion regarding the upcoming 2017 Study Program Open Season. Topics to include studies of interest and what we hope to learn from the proposed studies. Anticipated outcome; list of SPSG-sponsored study topics for submission in January (tentative) 2017 Open Season.
