Early Bird Shootout

All games will be played at South Tama High School, 1715 Harding Street, Tama, IA 52339

Number of games played per team: 3
Certified Officials will be used for all games
Games begin at 9:00AM
The first 5 teams that email confirm with me are in the shootout. The rest of the teams will be put on a waiting list if they choose.
GAME FORMAT:
Each team will play 2 games of pool play. These games will be played cross court on our high school floor.
Your 3rd game will be against the team from the opposite pool that finished in the same place you did in your pool. Pool play tie breakers: 1st Head to Head, 2nd fewest defensive points allowed, 3rd Coin toss. The three final games will be played one at a time on the regulation floor.
GAME RULES:
1st ½ is a 18 minute continuous clock with 1 timeout per team, 2nd ½ will be a 16 minute clock with the first 12 minutes continuous and the last 4 minutes played as a regular game. Coaches will have 2 timeouts in the 2nd ½ . If one team is ahead by 25 or more pts in the 2nd ½ the clock will remain continuous.
Free throws during the continuous clock play will be 1 shot and count for 2 if it is a 2 shot or 1 and 1 situation. 1 free throw after a made basket will count at 1 pt. Free throws will be shot in the normal fashion during the final 4 minute clock.
All other Iowa High School Boys Basketball rules will be followed.
Coaches will be allowed to be off the bench during games as long as they are coaching and not refereeing.
Sportsmanship will be emphasized for coaches, players, fans. If this becomes a problem, players, teams and fans may be asked to leave the gym.
Spectators will be charged a $1 entry fee to the shooout.
