The Science of Sound Portal

The Science of Sound Portalactivities can be accesseddirectly from the web. These teacher tested activities illustrating the fundamental concepts of sound provide a materials list, background, step by step procedure, explanation of the activity, and possible extensions.

Select: Physical Science Activities

Double Click: On Line Preview.

You will see the picture, below. Each purple box is hyperlinked to the activity. By clicking on a purple box the activity will be opened in MS Word.

ORyou can download the entire project to your computer by:

Going to:

Select: Physical Science Activities

Right click "Science of Sound Portal" (Select whether you want with or without Learning Cycle)
and “Save Target As” to your desktop. (The download will be in a zipped folder)

Once downloaded:

  • Double click the downloaded zipped folder to open.
  • Drag contents of the folder to the desk top.
  • Open folder and click on the file “SOUND PORTAL”.
  • Remember the purple boxes, are “hot-linked”. Click on one of them to select an activity.
  • The activity will open in MS Word. You make can changes and additions.
