Memorandum

Subject: Sorting and prioritizing VIPs end of day applications
Due to increasing demand for the issuance of priority titles, the Titles and Registration Bureau are making some procedural changes that will require you to sort and batch your end of day report a little differently.
Due to the fact that approximately 50% of the title applications that you submit will not receive a paper title, we are going to change our priorities to concentrate on priorities, lien releases, repo’s and title applications with no liens recorded.
Effective January 1, 2004, we are requesting that you sort rubber band or paperclip each batch separately and place in the following order each day before submitting your daily vehicle report.
1. Lien releases
2. Priorities/duplicates
3. Repossessions
4. Disabled placard applications/recertifications
5. Title applications with no liens recorded
6. All barcoded renewals, refunds and miscellaneous applications
7. Title applications with liens.
We will be editing and releasing the title applications with no liens and than edit /process applications with liens.
Just as a reminder, please do not staple in the patch or bar code. A box is provided for one staple in the upper left-hand corner of the title and registration application. The microfilm reader will not read applications that have staple holes in the bar code or patch. Also, please do not staple multiple times as this slows down the editing processing for title applications when we have to remove multiple staples.
Please make sure that before submitting a title application to the state, those all-supporting documents have been unfolded and staples removed.
Thanks for your continued assistance and support. It is sincerely appreciated.
