SMI and Wintertechnik Announce
New Partnership in Europe
[Midland, MI] -- Snow Machines, Inc. (SMI) announced today that the Austrian company Wintertechnik Engineering GMBH has been named as the exclusive provider of SMI snowmaking products and services in Austria, Slovenia, Hungary and South Tyrol (Italy). Wintertechnik with its 18,000 square meter facility maintains an extensive supply of parts to support existing SMI customers, and will serve as the central inventory location in Europe for SMI products sold in the EU.
“SMI has been actively growing our presence in Europe over the last few years,” observed Bill Logan, Sales and Marketing Director for SMI. “We already have excellent partners in Switzerland (SMI – AG), France (SMI – France) and the Czech Republic (Snowmakers). But we’ve been missing a strong presence in Austria, which is a key region in the global market,” he said.
“We are fortunate to have a strong partner like Wintertechnik for this part of Europe. We both share a philosophy of strong customer support and service, and we’re both interested in aggressively growing our collective market share.”
According to Thomas Jürs, Managing Director of Wintertechnik, “Our relationship with SMI gives us a broader range of high-volume, premium fan gun products, along with an extensive family of lances. This complements our current line of fan guns very well,” he observed.
