By teaching the course to a select small group of students, Our pass rate is 95%, at least twice as high as competitors (in some cases, 3 or 4 times as high). This is not a "cookie-cutter" course; we tailor our course to fit your individual needs and to turn your individual weaknesses into strengths.

Why Become a Licensed Customs Broker
People become Licensed Customs Brokers for many reasons, not just financial reasons. Although a customs broker license dresses up a resume and is a step towards a higher salary and job security, many people want to be licensed so that they understand the import laws and regulations better and to keep their employer in compliance. A customs broker license also allows you to work for a customs brokerage firm or an importer, open your own, or become a consultant.
More and more importers are hiring in-house Licensed Customs Brokers. The demand for Licensed Customs Brokers is huge and growing. Having in-house Licensed Customs Brokers provides an importer with lasting advantages when importing.

What Licensed Customs Brokers Do
Customs brokers must be licensed by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). While companies can import goods without a customs broker license, it is almost a good decision to have a customs broker help. Licensed Customs Brokers are invaluable in navigating the mountain of paperwork and regulations. They help importers "clear goods", which means processing shipments through customs in a timely and legal fashion. Licensed Customs Brokers work under many deadlines, and must be comfortable with filing information electronically with CBP. A Licensed Customs Broker may take on other responsibilities and often play an important role in a company's trade compliance programs.

Why People Flunk The Customs Broker Exam
Thousands of people take the customs broker exam each year, but only a small percentage pass (a lot of our students are in that elite group). People flunk because they decide to study on their own without a structured course, or the course they take is an "off the shelf" type that does not meet their own personal needs. There is a second reason why people fail. Most people taking the customs broker exam are not recent high school or college graduates, and they underestimate the commitment needed to pass the exam. You cannot cram for and hope to the pass the customs broker exam. You need a course, one like ours, that is tailored to people in mid-career, and you must stick it out during the course of the exam. This means dedicating nights and weekends to real, meaningful, uninterrupted studying, and to doing the homework assigned to you, based upon your individual needs.* OUR COURSE IS A 15 WEEK COURSE, BEWARE OF OTHER COURSES THAT ARE 10 WEEKS OR SHORTER, THAT IS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO PREPARE. ADDITIONALLY, IF YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE ENTIRE COURSE BUT FAIL TO PASS THE TEST ON YOUR FIRST TRY, THE NEXT CLASS IS FREE!
