Please place a check next to the clubs your child would like to participate in at IC Catholic School. All clubs start at 3:30pm and end at 4:30pm. Please make sure your child has an adult to pick them up at the conclusion of the club. Students not picked up by 4:40 will be placed in After-school for a fee. Club sign-up is first come/first served.

Art Lessons: Theme “Under the Sea”- Creating drawings, paintings, and sculptures of creatures from the sea;

Open to students in grades (2-5);

Meets on Tuesdays: 9/1, 9/8, 9/15, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13

Piano Lessons: When: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.Time: 3:30-5:30; $20 ½ hour session and $35 full hour session**ALL LESSONS ARE ONE TO ONE** Contact the Director of Parish and School Music directly to schedule lessons: Mr. José Reyes-Ortiz/ /Cell. 832 388 7657.

Technology Club: Students will learn and practice keyboarding skills, as well as, the usage of other computer programs. Open to students in grades (4-8); Meets Wednesdays: 9/2, 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7

Little Saints Club: Students will learn about saints in the Catholic Church and create fun projects about the saints. Open to students in (pre-k-2); Meets Thursdays: 9/3,9/10,9/17,9/24,10/1,10/15; $10 materials fee

Story and Craft Club: Students will read a different story each week and create a craft that goes along with the story of the day. Open to students in grades (Pre-k-3); Meets Wednesdays: 9/2, 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7; $10 materials fee

Eat Your Homework: Edible Math and Science Experiments:

This club will teach your child that math and science can be fun and even tasty when you get to eat your homework! Students will have the chance to learn what makes yeast bread rise, what happens when you whip egg whites and why understanding fractions is important. Students will love learning about measuring, fractions, division and of course all the subtraction of eating the tasty results! Open to students in grades (K-4). Meets on Thursdays:9/3,9/10,9/17,9/24,10/1,10/15; $10 materials fee

Study Skills Club: Students in grades 3-8 will be taught how to work efficiently through organization and time management techniques. Students will also discover what their learning styles are so that they have an easier time understanding and remembering information. Test preparation and test taking skills will also be taught and reinforced through practical applications. Ultimately students will gain the ability to be proactive in their learning and know what tools they can use to make learning enjoyable and successful. Meets Mondays: 8/31, 9/14,9/21.9/28,10/5

Board Games Club: Do you love games? Well if so, then this is the club for you! Sign up for game club if you're interested in playing all kinds of games such as checkers, bingo, card games and more!Open to students in grades (2-5); Meets Wednesdays: 9/2, 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7

JR. Model United Nations: We are excited to provide an opportunity for students at ICCS to learn about and prepare to participate in the GRU Augusta JMUN on March 16, 2016. Grades six through eight are allowed to participate in the conference at GRU, but grades four and five will also be allowed to participate in the club, so as to learn ahead. Students will learn and practice public speaking, research, developing State policy, and negotiation. Open to students in grades (4-8); Meets on Wednesdays: 9/2, 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7

Sewing Club: Mrs. Rowland, our kindergarten teacher, is also a sewing teacher and the owner of Rae Danae Designs. She is offering sewing machine lessons here at ICCS. Come learn a skill that will last a lifetime! First 5 week session open to 2nd and 3rd graders. 6 spots available. We will learn the basics of safely using a standard sewing machine and iron. Projects to include but not limited to: patchwork pillow, drawstring bag, critter water bottle holder, monogrammed pocket tee and much more! $10 materials fee. Gardening Club: We will be learning all about planting and taking care of a garden! We willgarden around Immaculate Conception to help keep our school grounds beautiful. We are going to work together to plant, water, weed, and maintain our gardens every week! Open to students in grades (4-8); Meets on Fridays: 9/4,9/11,9/18,9/25,10/2,10/16

Children’s Choir: Come join the ICCS/MHT Children’s Choir. Under the direction of Master Musician Mr. Jose Ortiz, Director of Parish and School Music, children in grades (1-8) will learn to sing and perform. The choir will be members of the American Federation Pueri Cantores and has been given the name Immaculate Conception ScholaCantorum. The children’s choir will perform at weekly school Masses and once a month at the 12:30pm Sunday parish Mass. This will eventually be a competition choir. Meets weekly for the rest of the year on Thursdays from 3:30-5:00pm.
