The PSB Exam is $20.00 and can be paid for in person or by phone with the cashier (972-548-6616). You must call or visit the nursing office (972-548-6772) with your receipt number to reserve a spot. Please schedule your exam as early as possible, as they fill up quickly.

If for some reason you cannot take the test on the scheduled date, and need to reschedule, you will need to pay an additional $20 to reserve another spot.

Results: Results can be picked up in the nursing department, Health Science Building (Reception area)-- approximately two weeks after the exam. Please call to verify the tests are in. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Results can also be mailed. Please drop off a self-addressed stamped envelope in the nursing office. NO Results are given over the phone.

Testing: Report directly to the testing center –A109B -- at the McKinney Central Park Campus. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the test begins and verify your name on the roster. If your name is not listed, immediately go to the nursing dept.-- B336. After you verify your name is on the roster, please wait in the first floor atrium area until testing time.

Testing: You will need a picture ID (identification) and two #2 pencils only. The test lasts approximately 3 hours. Late examinees willnot be permitted to test. NO EXCEPTIONS!

You are given one point for every correct answer and no points are deducted for incorrect answers.

You may test once per application cycle: spring and fall.

Reading the Test Results

Look at the bottom of the results and find Academic Aptitude Total. Now go up to the Percentile row and read across. If you received a score of 40 or greater in Academic Aptitude Total, Spelling,Reading Comprehension, Information in the Natural Sciences and Vocational Adjustment Index you receive 1 point. If you scored 70 or greater on Reading Comprehension you get an additional point. Total points possible are six.
