Create a great day! /
Greetings ,
As we near the end of first quarter, I want to encourage parents to sit down with their students to review their grades and assignments in Parent Portal. Students need to touch base with their teachers if they still have missing assignments or have any re-tests to complete. The quarter ends onFriday, October 28 and Report Cards will be send home on November 10.
Additionally, picture day is TODAY,Thursday, October 20. This is the only school picture day for this year so please send your pre-pay order in with your Bronco by Thursday if you would like to purchase pictures. All students will have their picture taken for yearbook purposes.
Our students who qualified for the PTSA Discount Card fundraising prizes had a great time on Monday with dodge ball, knock-out, and the limo ride to mini golf. HUGE THANKS to all of the families who assisted their student with selling these cards, which exceeded our goal by raising over $43,000. Winners of the money machine and Fit Bits will be given their prize next week.
Our "Think Pink Spirit Week" has been a great success this week! The students and staff have really stepped up to raise money in a variety of ways for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research. Special thanks to Mrs. Cesena for coordinating all of these efforts. Our "Pink Out" football game against JM Alexander will be held tonight at 5:00 pm so come out to support our Broncos. Finally, the annual Bailey Staff vs. Bradley Staff softball game will be held at Bailey Road Park on Friday, October 28 at 5:30 pm.

Cyber Safety/Social Media Tips for Parents
A word from Mr. Thomas
Students have done a very good job so far this year with not only keeping their phones off and out of sight during the school day, but also keeping their communications with each other via social media more appropriate. However, we as parents need to continue our vigilance with monitoring what our kids are doing, saying, and posting on social media.
I have listed a few tips below, yet talking with your Bronco about this topic seems to be the best proactive measure to ensure that they are being cyber safe. Remember, they need us to protect them from others and themselves! /
  1. Set a time each night that all digital devices are off and stick to it.
  2. Create a family agreement that all passwords for all accounts are shared with parents.
  3. Establish an agreed upon consequence for any violations of "Family Rules" for digital devices.
  4. Take time to discuss what apps and/or social media sites you approve for your child to be using.
  5. Communication via social media or online can only be with others who you know (beware of cyber predators).

Any CPA's out there?
The PTSA is in need of a CPA to prepare our tax return for the 2015/2016 school year.

/ The IRS requires us to file the Form 990-EZ for the 2015/2016 year and we would greatly appreciate a CPA volunteer who could assist in this effort.
The Form 990 is due by November 15. Please contact our current PTSA treasurer, Jessica Kirkman, if you would be willing to assist or know of a local CPA firm that would be a good candidate.
Thank you for any assistance you can offer!

Are you creative? We'd love your entry!
