R5-15 Junior Jazzercise Session Template
Time / Week 1 / Week 2 / Week 3 / Week 4 / Week 5 / Week 6 / TipsApproximately 5-7 Minutes. / It’s a NEW YEAR talk about their goals for the next year and the importance of setting goals! / Everyone talks about something they achieved over the past week (i.e. passed a test, finished a project) / Everyone talks about how they helped someone over the week / Everyone talks about something or someone that they appreciate.
Wear PJS and have a PJ Party!! / Everyone talks about what makes them feel best about themselves. / Everyone talks about their favorite memory from the session. Come dressed in what makes you feel your best! / Start each week with “Circle Time”. Talk about the topics to the left each week. It’s a great way to boost kids’ confidence when speaking to and in front of their peers as well as speaking to adults.
5- 10 minutes / Warm-up- “On My Mind”- Jrs Variation / Warm-up with Doctors and germs / Warm-up- “On My Mind”- Jrs Variation / Warm-up- “On My Mind”- Jrs Variation / Warm-up with Freeze Dance in numbers to “Better When I’m Dancin’” / Warm-up- “On My Mind”- Jrs Variation / The kids will love warming up with “On My Mind” and games!! Both fun ways to get the blood flowing!
10-15 minutes / What Do You Mean? -Jrs / “Wildest Dreams”- Jrs Variation with streamer paper / “Bad Blood”- Jrs Variation / “Word Up”-Jrs Variation / “Drag Me Down” Juniors Variation / Hula Break / -Freeze Dance in Numbers-Play “Freeze Dance”, but each time the music stops you call it a number and they must dance in a group with that number of people when the music comes back on!

- Talk about goals and the importance of making them, keeping them and achieving them. Start a goal Journal! Have them write new goals for each week/ day/ month/ year etc…
- Do the Confidence exercise noted on the template. It’s a great way to build and practice having confidence
