SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE

Fellow Lions and Lioness, we are gathered here tonight to honor and pay our respects to Lion______, a member of the ______Club. He became a member in the year, ______, and served the Club faithfully.

The Club has suffered the loss of a beloved member, a respected citizen of our community, dedicated to helping his fellow man, and serving his community through his club's endeavors. His passing is our great loss and he will not soon be forgotten, not by his club nor those who have benefited by his generosity, his hard work and loving service.

God created man and woman for the purpose of serving Him, and as we help others, we serve God.

Perhaps all of us at one time or another have asked ourselves the questions "Am I my brother's keeper?"

Lion ______answered that question by the way he dedicated himself to helping his fellow man. The Scriptures state man's life is but three score and ten, and we pass this way but once. Lion ______journeyed through this land, and we pray that God approved of the work he committed himself to do. It takes a man with compassion in his heart to sacrifice his time and talents in helping others and Lion ______was a man dedicated to that end.

All join in reading 23rd Psalm:

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me; Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over.

Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.

CLUB CONDOLENCES

On behalf of Lions International and the ______Lions Club, and the community, we extend our condolence to you, the family of Lion ______.

We know that the circle has been broken, not only in your home, but likewise in our club where Lion had served. He shall be missed in the home, in the family, in the church, in the community and in our club.

And now, may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work. Amen.

As individuals and a Club we wish to express our most heartfelt condolences in the loss of Lion ______.
