SENIOR CENTER - ADA DOOR OPENER REPLACMENT

Proposal must be placed in a sealed opaque envelope addressed to: “City Clerk, City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin” and marked “SENIOR CENTER - ADA DOOR OPENER REPLACMENT.” If the bid is sent by mail, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope with the notation “Sealed Bid Enclosed” on the face thereof.Bid results will be available on the city website at smwi.org following the bid opening.

In general, the Scope of Work calls for the replacement of 4 automatic door openers. The completion date for this project is December 15, 2017. The summary of work is as follows:

  1. Replacement of 1 exterior door opener in vestibule with Nabco 8500 series single swing operator.
  2. Replacement of 1 interior door opener in vestibule with Nabco GT710 series single swing operator.
  3. Replacement of 2 interior door opener in restrooms with Nabco GT710 series single swing operator.
  4. All doors to have safety sensor and wireless push buttons.

All proposals must be submitted on a form provided for that purpose as issued within the Document, together with a certified check or a bid bond not less than five (5%) percent of the bid, payable to the City of South Milwaukee as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the contract and a performance bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the total proposal price within ten (10) working days after the award of the contract. Failure to execute such contract and performance bond shall because for forfeiture of the check or bid bond as liquidated damages.

The City of South Milwaukee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities in the bidding. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of the bids without the consent for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled time for closing bids.
