Seedings Meeting – Oct. 21st

4:00 pm Surrey Golf Course

All the info teams will need for the Fraser Valley Championships is listed below.

  1. If coaches do not attend the seedings meeting they will have to accept the decisions made. All decisions made at the seedings meeting are final.
  2. The FraserValley has been awarded six berths to the Provincial Championships – the dates for Provincials are Nov. 25th – 27th at the Burnaby Lakes West turf.
  3. All games will kickoff at 3:00 sharp unless the home team needs to change the time for specific reasons. Also, teams may change their home fields if it is not playable. If that’s the case, the home team needs to contact both the coordinator and opposing coach on the new location.
  4. It is the home teams responsibility to find an alternate location to play if their field is not playable.
  5. If the home team is unable to find a second location the home team must travel to the visiting teams home pitch if it is playable.
  6. If option “B” is not possible the visiting team has the option to try and find an alternate pitch.
  7. The game will have to be played the following day if all of the above options are exhausted.
  8. Games played are to be two halves of 40 minutes. If the games is tied, two seven and a half overtime periods will be played; there is no golden goal. If the game is still tied after the two overtime periods, penalty kicks will decide the winner.
  9. Any yellow and or red cards will be reported directly to Brent Sweeney. Any suspensions will be discussed with Don Moslin (BC Secondary Schools Soccer Commissioner). No yellow cards carry over from the league into the FraserValleys. Three yellows in the playoffs will result in a one game suspension. Red cards to be determined by the BCSSSC.
  10. As we did last year we will once again post all results online. All results need to be emailed to Brent Sweeney ASAP on the day of the game. All results will be on the commission website the same night. The website is:
  11. Ref costs: The home team is responsible for paying the cost of the referee.Schools will be reimbursed in full for every game played after the first two rounds by the Fraser Valley Soccer Commission.
  12. We have been awarded 6 berths to the provincials. The 3rd /4th, 5th/6thplace gamesmust be played.Any forfeit during FraserValley play will result in a $50 fine from your school’s performance bond.
  13. As always the tournament is Double Knock out.
  14. The higher seed is the home team throughout the tournament. The home team is responsible for preparing the field(lined, corner flags and nets up a minimum of 20 minutes before game time). Failing to have your field prepared may result in a forfeit.
  15. Your league Coordinators will schedule referees for the teams hosting from their league.
  16. All teams are required to email or bring to the meeting their team exnet roster, including jersey #’s to both Sunny and Brent. Teams will not be qualified to play until their rosters have been received. As was the case in league play, coaches must provide a roster to the opposing team and the referee prior to the game. Please include Sunny’s email address at the bottom of the roster for discipline reporting purposes.

ROUND 1 - Games 1 thru 8 : Tuesday, Oct. 26th

ROUND 2 - Games 9 thru 16 : Thursday, Oct. 28th

ROUND 3 - Games 17,18,19, and 20 : Tuesday, Nov. 2nd

ROUND 4 - Games 21 thru 24 : Thursday, Nov. 4th

ROUND 5 - Games 25,26: Monday, Nov. 8th

ROUND 6 - Games 27, 28 and 29 : Wednesday, Nov. 10th
