UNAPPROVED SELECTBOARD MINUTES

February 22nd, 2016

Selectboard Meeting called to Order at 6:58 by Chair Bud Ross.

Present: Bud Ross and Ron Batchelder

Lou Beam was unable to attend the meeting.

Bud Ross, reviewed the Town Calendar.

Minutes of the February 8th, 2016 Meeting accepted as written. (Unanimous)

Diane Frechette, Real Estate Appraiser, with the DRA joined the meeting. Diane gave the Board an overview concerning our updates and assessments. She will be taking approximately 36 cards and visiting those houses in town to review the assessments and information on the tax cards. She will send out postcards to homeowners in advance in case a resident objects to her coming to their house. She will be checking building permits as well and current use forms and lands. She will also be doing an in office inspection of all the exemptions for elderly and veterans, making sure the paperwork is all up to date. Diane also went over filing information for religious and non-profit businesses. She said mostly she is going to be checking for data accuracy and helping the Town to make sure all their property tax information is up to date and accessible. The Board thanked Diane for coming.

1. The Board reviewed paperwork from Dennis concerning the renting of the Meetinghouse.

2. The Board reviewed an application for tax abatement from a resident.

3. The Board discussed a letter from the DRA concerning purchasing a performance bond for CNP the assessing company.

4. The Board discussed the deadline for unregistered car removal at a house in town.

5. The Board reviewed and signed a PO for the Road Agent.

6. The Board reviewed and signed orders.

7. The Board reviewed and signed payroll.
