Lead-Free statement: Several plumbing fixtures described in this section fall under jurisdiction of the Federal Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act (42 USC 300G) which mandates that effective January 4,2014 the wetted surfaces of any valve, fitting or fixture that comes in contact with potable water must have a weighted-average lead content of no more than 0.25 percent.
