CONSTITUTION

ARTICLE I.

Section 1: Burritos Club of The Ohio State University

Section 2- Purpose: To unite the student body under a common shared love for burritos and explores different burrito styles.

Section 3- Hazing: Hazing is strictly prohibited. Hazing shall be defined as any conduct which subjects another person, whether physically, mentally, emotionally, or psychologically, to anything that may endanger, abuse, degrade, or intimidate the person as a condition of association with the Burritos Club.

Section 4- Non-Discriminatory Policy: This organization and its members shall not discriminate against any individual(s) for reasons of age, color, disability, gender identity or expression, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status in any of its actions or acceptance of members.

ARTICLE II.

Section 1- Membership Qualification: Members must be enrolled at The Ohio State University.

Section 2- Categories of Membership: Burritos Club consists of an Executive Board, and a general body of members.

Section 3- Member Removal:If a member exhibits discrimination, inappropriate behavior, or breaks any laws during organization activities they will be removedfrom Burritos Club.

ARTICLE III.

Section 1- Titles: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recruitment Chair, Social Chair, Secretary, and Philanthropy chair.

Section 2- Officer Duties:

President: Takes care of the business and organizational matters.

Vice President: Handles finding venues, artists, and events in total. Also provides assistance to President and Treasurer.

Treasurer: Takes care of all funds, applies for funding.

Secretary: Keeps track of making sure all club members stay up to date with the happenings along with assisting the President, Vice President, and Treasurer.

Recruitment Chair: Organizes and plans recruitment events.

Social Chair: Plans and organizes all social events

Philanthropy Chair: Creates partners with local service sites and organizes charity events.

Section 3- Types of Selection: Officer positions will be decided on based on elections every October. The new officers will assume their positions in January of the following year. The officers will then fulfill these positions for the next school year.

ARTICLE IV.

Section 1- Officer Selection: Officers will be selected based on elections that take place in the beginning of October. Each potential officer must prepare a short speech on why they qualify for the position.

Section 2- Officer Qualification: The officers must be matriculated and enrolled at The Ohio State University. Officers must be at least enrolled in 12 credit hours a semester as a full-time student. The student must be in good standing and must not be on probation of any kind.

Section 3- Resignation: Any elected officer may resign by submitting that resignation in writing to the President. If any officer is unable or unwilling to perform the duties of office, or if a Vice-President is absent from the chapter represented for thirty days or more, he or she shall be deemed to have resigned, and the vacancy shall be filled as specified above.

Section 4- Officer Removal: Any elected officer may be removed for just cause. Sufficient cause for such removal may be violation of this Constitution or any lawful rule, practice, or procedure adopted by the Burritos Club or other conduct deemed to be prejudicial to the best interests of this organization.

ARTICLE V.

Section 1- Advisor:The standing advisor may choose to decline to remain as Burritos Club advisor and will announce his/her decision at the last meeting of the year..

ARTICLE VI.

Section 1- Meeting Time and Location:

Meetings will be held every Tuesday from 7:00-7:30 PM.

Meetings will be located in Chipotle on North high street.

Section 2- Meeting Business and Content: Meeting times will be used to plan upcoming events and articulate what is going on within the club.

ARTICLE VII.

Section 1- Amending the Constitution

The chapter may propose amendments to this Constitution by writing to the President.

The amendment must be approved by the chapter by a 2/3 vote.

Any member of Burritos Club may write in support of or in opposition to the proposed amendment. These views as presented or as edited by the the Vice President shall be announced in the next chapter meeting.

Any amendment of this Constitution shall become the law of the chapter without further notice.
