Students are responsible for every assignment on the syllabus, whether they are reminded in class or not.Missed quizzes and tests will be made up on the day of return during class time unless otherwise discussed and planned with the teacher.Students are responsible for scheduling time after school to make up a timed writing within 2 days of an absence. AP/Dual Credit English does not provide opportunities for re-testing.Late work will be accepted 1 day late for a maximum grade of 80; 2 days late for a maximum grade of 60; 3 days late for a maximum grade of 40, and 4 days late for a maximum grade of a 20. No work will be accepted for credit after four days.Students are expected to follow their grades using Home Access Support and communicate any concerns to their parents. Likewise, students should see the teacher regarding any questions or concerns.

*For A Streetcar Named Desire extra credit opportunity students must secure their own copy of the work. In addition, students must pass the extra credit test with an accuracy of 80% or better. This extra credit will be worth five points added to any summative assessment. In the rare event that a student does not have room to add five points to any summative assessment, the student will receive the maximum number of points on a summative grade up to a score of 100. Students will not receive points on summative assessments above a grade of 100, and extra credit points are not transferable to other grading periods. The teacher will make a notation in the gradebook, which is visible to both parents and students, when the extra credit has been added. The extra credit test is offered after school only on Tuesday 12/8, Wednesday 12/9, and Thursday 12/10. Students must sign up for the extra credit testing prior to the test; if a student fails to attempt the test after he or she has signed up, he or she will not be eligible for future extra credit assessments. Students who are late to the testing may not test and will forfeit additional extra credit testing opportunities. Note, in the event of a rescheduling emergency students may move their testing forward to an earlier day, but not backwards to a later day provided there are available slots. Students must sign up to take the test prior to 12/8.
