That growth has led to the charity winning multiple awards for our strategic corporate partnerships and fundraising performance.We have also gone through changes to all our systems including introducing a new website and updating fundraising and grant management databases.

Responsibilities

Autistica is creating a new role to help us both improve our administration and to maximise efficiency and regulatory compliance across Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, Mailchimp and new systems we introduce. The Systems Manager will strive to improve the efficiency of Raiser's Edge and related processes such as information sharing between finance and fundraising, with a view to expanding on reporting opportunities for better appeals analysis. This person will undertake a data protection review, conduct a database cleansing exercise and provide key training to individuals to ensure processes are followed correctly. The Database Manager will also carry out essential everyday tasks to ensure BAU.

To be successful within this role, you will need to have substantial database experience, particularly with Raiser's Edge and Salesforce. Most importantly, you will have experience of restructuring and improving databases, setting up data imports and reporting against fundraising streams. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing, implementing and monitoring office administration procedures to support a multi-disciplinary team. This person will be adept at communicating complex concepts with a great eye for detail.

Key areas of responsibility

-Processing and managing daily income and inputting onto Raiser’s Edge.

-Responding to queries from families, researchers and donors via email and the telephone.

-Supporting the Director of Fundraising to finalise, document and implement policies on GDPR.

-Leading ongoing monitoring of adherence to GDPR policies.

-Running reports and queries from systems such as Raiser’s Edge, Mailchimp and Salesforce.

-Managing and improving our donor and grant making systems and the relationship between RE, Salesforce and Mailchimp.

-Take responsibility for the administration of our Just Giving and Virgin Money Giving accounts;

-Manage incoming post, keeping records and liaising with relevant team members, sending out appropriate thank you correspondence.

-Proactively work across the wider team to support reporting and donor stewardship.

Skills and Experience

-3-5 years experience working in database and systems management and administration.

-Proven experience of using Raiser’s Edge for data inputting and running queries and pivot reports

-Previous experience of working with a charity to bring RE or other databases into GDPR compliance.

-Ability to demonstrate the management of large-scale change programmes.

-Experience of working in an agile delivery team.

-Experience of working with both internal teams and outsourced suppliers.

-Expert-level knowledge of Raiser’s Edge 7.

-Good knowledge of Salesforce and Mailchimp or other emailing systems.

-Good communicator with strong negotiation and influencing, especially where communicating technical issues or solutions to non-technical colleagues.

-Producing high quality documentation, reports and presentations that can be used at both internal and external meetings and ensure that all systems and paperwork comply with audit requirements.

Desirable

-Knowledge/experience of digital fundraising, content management systems and systems such as Stripe.
