Evening and weekend work required. The following vacancies are currently available:
2 x 37 hours per week
2 x 30 hours per week
1 x 20 hours per week

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Occasional supervision of YSJActive Leisure Assistants (casual staff)
JOB PURPOSE:
To assist the YSJActive team with facility management by preparing sports facilities for usage, managing bookings, providing an excellent standard of customer service and maintaining grounds, buildings and equipment to a high standard.
To provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support, staffing the reception and other areas of the site.
To build and maintain good relationships with users of the University’s facilities, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
To assist in the development of YSJActive as a recognised professional provider of opportunities for sport, exercise and wellbeing in the University and the wider community
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assist in the delivery and coordination of day to day activities within University facilities that are managed by YSJActive,including:
- Administration duties to supportfacility usage and other YSJActive activities
- Maintaining the facilities and equipment to a high standard
- Reporting and where appropriate, addressing issues of health and safety and otherareas of concern
- Handling cash and electronic transactions, and keeping accurate records of all monies relating to use of YSJActive facilities
- Liaison and effective communication other members of the YSJActive team, and staff responsible for grounds maintenance and other members of Estates as required
- Opening, closing and securing the site and its facilities
- Provision of first aid as required along with recording accidents, injuries and “near misses”
- To prepare the facilities for scheduled bookings, setting out and taking down equipment, ensuring this is done correctly and promptly to make sure the use of facilities is optimal
- To ensure equipment is stored safely and securely, that its condition is checked on a regular basis, that inventories are maintained, and losses / disappearances are identified and reported promptly
- To supervise activities taking place at the facilities, ensuring that activities are conducted safely and that standards of behaviour are appropriate
- To maintain and submit accurate reports on the use of facilities
- To assist in the development and delivery of YSJActive activities and projects
- To ensure adherence to health and safety regulationsand standard operating procedures at all times

Knowledge and/or experience of common reception duties, i.e. basic database handling, customer support, filing systems, processing of cash / electronic purchases etc.
