Presentations were made in support of faculty promotions. The results were:

Emily Abbey – strongly recommended Full Professor of Developmental Psychology

Michael Bitz – strongly recommended Full Professor of Teacher Education

Kim Lorber – strongly recommended Full Professor of Social Work

Julie Good – strongly recommended Associate Professor of Teacher Education

Eileen Klein – strongly recommended Associate Professor of Social Work

Eva Ogens – strongly recommended Associate Professor of Teacher Education

Sangha Padhy – strongly recommended Associate Professor of Law & Society

FAEC – Eva Ogens presented

Representatives are needed for the GenEd implementation team

Modification of degree requirements for OSS Students was discussed

Full-time faculty need to teach a minimum of 4 undergraduate courses and then can teach 2 graduate courses

Unit representatives for FAEC are needed

GenEd Implementation – Sanghy Padhy

Sangha Padhy announced the need for GenEd Implementation volunteers. Jackie Braun and Mike Edelstein volunteered.

Anne DeGroot discussed experiential learning. A definition of experiential learning needs to be defined. Students need to become actively engaged in learning from experiential activities to further civic development. An experiential learning plan needs to be created to not only define the activity, but record the activity as well.

Francis Shapiro-Skrobe advised that ARC has discussed incorporating study abroad programs with majors. Convening groups should begin a dialogue developing potential study abroad programs within their majors.
