President’s Report

Fundraising:

●Online survey with 24 respondents, supporting the need for fundraising in general

●Results of survey show strong support for playground development

●Results also indicate that parents do not want to sell items, that they prefer fundraising events

ACTION:

●Go Play Save program stays as is, chair is needed

●More fundraising opportunities to be added to Fall Social (will still remain a free event)

●Lunch program will be for profit

●Boosterthon will be booked for next year, tentative date is May 3rd with pep rally April 24

●Loyalty Program needs a chair, focus on getting VIC card numbers with permission for perpetual use

Lunch Program:

●Online survey with over 100 respondents

●Results show a strong support for having a lunch program available including emergency lunches

●Results also show that parents are dissatisfied with quality and quantity of the food as well as difficulty with ordering process.

●Ms. Cuneo said that the problem lies with the vendor and that efforts should be made to find a new vendor before making any major changes

○ACTION: Bring to general PTO members to vote

Treasurer’s Report

●Overall forecast looks good as we are under budget for the year (submitted in absentia)

Vice President’s Report:

●Night of the Arts dinner option still open

●Food Truck for Night of the Notables was a good success, consider for NOTA

○ACTION: Communicate withShruti Arora to look into dinner fundraiser food options for NOTA

Secretary’s Report

●Nominations with role descriptions are on PTO webpage

●Volunteers reluctant to be an executive chair due to a number of factors including not being clear about role and commitment to being present at monthly meetings

●Ms. Cuneo said that the school focus on “Time, Talent, Treasure” and there is close to 100% participation.

ACTION:

●look into remote meetings, including calling into meetings and using the conference room

●Publicize “Time, Talent, Treasure” and increase PTO presence at the following events with high parent traffic: New Scholar’s Day (Maura to volunteer that day to promote Loyalty Program), Night of the Arts, Meet the Teacher Night

Committee Reports

●Book Fair: Fall book fair was very successful; Spring book fair is scheduled for May 9th

●Some slight change of timing will be made to help maximize volunteer time and sales
